Region X Baseball: Stat Leaders – April 30, 2025

Division I – Hitting Highlights

In Division I, Patrick Evans from Florence-Darlington Technical College leads the charge with a scorching .446 batting average. He’s not alone in the spotlight, as Mason Elrod (USC Union) has been consistent with a .433 average, while Devin Mitchell of Florence-Darlington Technical College rounds out the top three with a .405 mark.

When it comes to runs batted in, Zack Hunt of Florence-Darlington Technical College takes the crown with 64 RBIs, ahead of Devin Mitchell (59) and David Nicks (58) from Gaston College. Aiden Talarico (USC Union) leads hitters with 14 home runs, while Josh Jackson (USC Union) has swiperd 34 stolen bases, leading Region X D1 players.

Division I – Pitching Highlights

On the mound, Mike Joyce (Florence-Darlington Technical College) leads Division I pitchers with a 2.61 ERA, and Logan Prisco (Florence-Darlington Technical College) stands out with 10 wins. The strikeout king of the division is Noah Zimmerman from Gaston College, who has racked up an impressive 79 strikeouts.


Division II – Hitting Highlights

The top batter in Division II is Danny O'Brien from Brunswick Community College, boasting a .495 average. Cam Greenway (Pitt Community College) and Dylan Grabowski (Patrick & Henry Community College) follow closely behind with .433 and .430 averages, respectively.

Dylan Grabowski (Patrick & Henry Community College) leads with 75 RBIs, and Kenny Schaedel (Louisburg College) has hit 17 home runs to lead that category. Carson McCoy (Patrick & Henry Community College) has been a dynamic threat on the base paths, leading with 49 stolen bases.

Division II – Pitching Highlights

Casey Culbreth from Louisburg College dominates the mound with a 1.5 ERA, leading all Division II pitchers. Jackson Gowan (Cleveland Community College) has accumulated 9 wins, while Casey Culbreth also leads the strikeout column with 72 Ks.


Division III – Hitting Highlights

The top hitter in Division III is Elijah Palmer (Surry Community College), who’s been on fire with a .444 average, also leading the division with 51 RBIs. Aidan Feather (Virginia Peninsula CC) stands out with 13 home runs, while Seth Ranta (Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute) tops the stolen bases list with 5.

Division III – Pitching Highlights

On the mound, Hunter Sherrill (Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute) has led the way, posting a 3.00 ERA and leading the division with 68 strikeouts. Zach Helms (Surry Community College) and Brooks Kinser (Surry Community College) follow closely behind with solid performances, while Daxton Savage (Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute) rounds out the top pitchers with 6 wins.


Region X Tournament Information

Division I

The road to Grand Junction begins in Lexington, South Carolina, as six teams battle it out in the 2025 Region 10 DI JUCO Baseball Tournament. From May 2–5, the Lexington County Baseball Stadium will host a jam-packed weekend of competitive junior college baseball, with the winner earning the right to host the East District Tournament and move one step closer to the JUCO World Series.

Division II and Divison III Region X Tournaments are schedule for the following weekend.  With each Division finalizing their regular season this week, we will dive into their tournament details next week.

🔜 What's at Stake?

The tournament champion will be crowned Region 10 Champion and will earn hosting rights for the East District Tournament, held May 9–11. The district champion advances to the 2025 NJCAA DI JUCO World Series, set for May 24–31 at Sam Suplizio Field in Grand Junction, Colorado.
