MEMPHIS, TN - The Prep Baseball Tennessee Memphis Rising Stars ID was held on Sunday, March 16th at Gagliano Field in Memphis, TN. This event was an open event that consisted of players from the 2029-2030 classes from Volunteer State. Players went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, ran the 60-yard dash using Vald Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to get numbers and metrics on TrackMan. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Positional Profile: 2B/RHP
Body: 5-4, 115-pounds. Slender, athletic build that should fill out well.
Delivery: Athletic mover with a big leg kick.
Arm Action: RH. Three-quarters slot with whippy action.

Body: 5-6, 120-pounds. Tall, slender build.
Delivery: Compact, smooth delivery with leg kick.
Arm Action: RH. Three-quarters slot with whippy action.

Body: 5-9, 135-pounds. Big, mature build that will continue to grow.
Delivery: Big leg kick and pulls off his front foot.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action that creates some run.
FB: T76, 74-75 mph. Developing depth that will continue to get better as he gets down the mound. T1804, 1676 average rpm.
CB: 62-63 mph. Big breaking ball that has some deception. T2429, 2378 average rpm.

Jonah Lawson, Westover Elementary (TN), 2029 |

Body: 5-10, 135-pounds. Bigger build that will continue to grow.
Delivery: Simple delivery, moves down the mound well.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm action but hides the ball well.
FB: T65, 60-64 mph. A bit of deception, gets to the plate quick. T1478, 1364 average rpm.
