TX HS Uncommitted Scout Blog: Week 10

Prep Baseball Texas Staff

At Prep Baseball Texas, we’re out at the ballparks watching the best the state has to offer, and each week in the Texas Scout Blog, we’ll highlight the players who stood out. Whether it’s a top-ranked commit showing why he’s one of the best in the country, an uncommitted prospect making a name for himself, or an under-the-radar player who demands attention, we’ll shine a light on those making an impact.

This isn’t about box scores—it’s about recognizing the guys who are stepping up when the lights are on. Texas high school baseball is as good as it gets, and we’re here to make sure the players proving it get the attention they deserve.

Check back each week to see who caught our eye across the Lone Star State.

WEEK 10

Drew Emery
Position:
RHP
School: Stratford (2026)
Commitment: Uncommitted

Drew Emery, an uncommitted junior right-handed pitcher for Stratford, had a solid outing on Friday, especially after a rough first inning. He faced a talented lineup and was able to generate a lot of weak contact on the ground with his sinking fastball, making it difficult for hitters to square up. When Emery stays on line, his fastball becomes extremely tough to hit. His breaking ball got sharper as the game progressed, and he also flashed a solid changeup. With a starter’s frame, Emery is just beginning to realize how good he can be, and his ability to limit hard contact and induce ground balls makes him an intriguing prospect moving forward.
