Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.
Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.
This week's Hitter of the Week is '27 INF JT Girod (Central).

JT Girod SS / 3B / Central High School, OR / 2027The third ranked sophomore in Oregon wins Hitter of the Week in week 7 of high school action after a monster three games last week. Girod finished 9/13 with a home run, 2 triples and 5 doubles. The infielder also tallied 15 RBI, 6 runs scored and 3 walks. Girod was last seen at PNW Preseason All-State this winter.
