Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Oregon Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Oregon Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '27 RHP Harrison Buckingham (South Salem).

Harrison Buckingham RHP / 3B / South Salem, OR / 2027 Rankings  StateRank: 4 / POS: 1 One of the top arms in the Oregon 2027 class, Buckingham led undefeated South Salem to a victory, going 7 innings on the mound. The sophomore struck out 13, allowing just one hit and one walk while not allowing a run. The sophomore was up to 91 MPH at PNW Preseason All-State this winter.
