Today we are releasing our fifth version of the Virginia/DC Private School Top 10, but we skipped last week's update, so technically this is week six since our first release. Take a look at some notes on a few teams from inside the rankings.
- St. John's is still the head of the class, holding strong at Power 25 #1, Private School #1, and a Top 25 team nationally.
- There has been some movement throughout, most notably Cape Henry moving back in to the rankings. Yes, the Dolphins have five losses, but not one single "bad loss". They have five close losses to teams currently in the Power 25, a one run loss to a quality Hickory team, a loss to Landstown where the Eagles scored all of their runs in one inning, and a few losses in a row to start their season. This is a somewhat young team that has had a lot of turnover from last season. In addition to all of that, Cape has one of the best wins of any team inside this ranking, with a win over the Power 25 #3 Cox Falcons two weeks ago.
- Along with our Power 25 on Mondays, we will update our Private School Top 10 every Tuesday.
