2025 Prep Baseball Iowa High School Team Previews: Volume 8

Prep Baseball Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. Prep Baseball is the number one resource for high school baseball in each state that we cover through various events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work together, creating each state's most potent high school baseball promotion source. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

As we prepare for the upcoming 2025 high school season, we will be taking a preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

WILLIAMSBURG RAIDERS

"We return 86% of our innings on the mound from last year. We also return 9 guys that started games for us last year. We look to use our experience to compete in a really tough WaMaC conference this year."

"Marquette was 18-10 last year. We won our first conference title in over 20 years. Our top 10 offensive starters will be returning for the upcoming season. We also have all varsity pitchers back for 2025. Marquette is led by Cameron Templeton (1st Team All-State, 1st Team All NE District) who led the state in steals going 47-47, batted .422,  scoring 44 runs, Cal Bonifas (2nd Team All District, 1st Team All Conference) ERA .081 with 77Ks, Other returning All Conference players include Jack Kirk, Justin Severson, Jaxton Leach, Louie Gonner." 

WEST DELAWARE HAWKS

Head Coach: Kevin Werner (3 seasons, 68-48)

"We return quite a few of our guys and a large percentage of our pitching. Were a young team last year and being a year older and dealing with some growing pains benefits us this year." 

GRINNELL TIGERS

"Returning 8 starters and getting a couple pitchers back healthy brings high expectations for this group. This is a hardworking group that has a nice mixture of underclassman and upperclassman with varsity experience. Pitching and Defense will lead the way for this team early as we work to put our best 9 hitters in the lineup." 

DES MOINES ROOSEVELT ROUGHRIDERS

"We will be young with experience but have some talented players coming in to compete. I believe we will be a pretty good hitting team and have some quality arms 1-4. However, we need to find out who will field the ball and provide valuable pitching depth. They are a hard working group of players that will develop this year while learning how to compete." 

URBANDALE J-HAWKS

"This team is experienced with great SR leadership.  We will be very athletic defensively & possess tremendous team speed.  We return a lot of guys with experience on the mound. The 4 left handed arms in the JR class plus the rest of the bullpen looks to provide the depth it needs to compete in the CIML. The coaching staff is really proud of the off season work this group has committed to. We are looking forward to the start of the 2025 baseball season." 

ALBIA BLUE DEMONS
