Coach Lees and the Pioneers enter the postseason as one of the more balanced and dangerous teams in the state, finishing the regular season with a 22-7 record and a dominant 13-1 showing in district play. The Pioneers have blended seasoned leadership with a talented group of underclassmen, creating a roster that can win in a variety of ways — through solid starting pitching, fundamentally sound defense, and a disciplined approach at the plate. At the heart of the lineup is Ethan Holliday, one of the premier infielders in the country. A true difference-maker, Holliday offers elite offensive upside and plays with the kind of poise and leadership that sets the tone for the entire team. Alongside him in the middle infield is cousin Brady Holliday, who has impressed in his sophomore campaign with his steady glove and mature plate presence, forming arguably one of the most talented double-play duos in the state. Isaiah Smith gives the Pioneers a key two-way threat. Smith has shown the ability to drive the baseball with authority while also offering quality innings on the mound. His versatility and experience make him a valuable piece in both the lineup and the rotation. The pitching staff leans on the upside of Bradyn Pratt, who has made a name for himself as a sophomore with advanced command and confidence on the bump. Landon Sterling gives them a chance every time out commanding his mid 80’s fastball with good off-speed stuff. Senior Parker Edwards is another key piece, providing leadership behind the dish and a calm, veteran presence in the lineup. His experience and baseball IQ will be crucial as the postseason pressure ramps up. Stillwater has shown all season they can win with timely hitting, clean defense, and competitive arms. With a well-rounded roster and a strong finish to district play, the Pioneers have all the tools to make a deep run this postseason and should be viewed as a legitimate threat in Class 6A.
Sapulpa Chieftains

Overall Record: 16-15
District Record: 8-6
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
OF Bryson Donnell (2026)
RHP/C Tyler Sparks (2027)
DH/3B Marvin Osaba (2027)
INF Ryan Angell (2027)
1B/LHP Logan Mason (2027)
2B Kason Ashton (2025)
LHP Jensen Penn (2027)
Coach Irvine and the Chieftains head into the postseason as a scrappy and dangerous team, one that has quietly built momentum behind a strong group of underclassmen and a competitive 8-6 district record. With a roster full of emerging talent, the Chieftains are capable of surprising higher seeds and making a run. Leading the way offensively is Bryson Donnell, a dynamic outfielder who brings athleticism, energy, and a high ceiling at the plate. Donnell has been a tone-setter for the Chieftains and plays with a competitive edge that fuels the team. Tyler Sparks is a name to know moving forward, contributing both on the mound and behind the plate. The sophomore has already shown advanced tools and toughness in both roles, giving Sapulpa a valuable two-way weapon. Marvin Osaba has stepped into the middle of the lineup and produced at a high level, providing pop from the DH and corner infield spots. His offensive presence has been key to Sapulpa’s run-scoring ability. Ryan Angell and Logan Mason round out a talented sophomore class — with Angell anchoring the infield and Mason offering upside from the left side, both at the plate and on the mound. Mason's versatility as a first baseman and pitcher gives the Chieftains much-needed depth. Veteran Kason Ashton brings senior leadership at second base, providing stability and experience during the stretch run, while Jensen Penn adds another left-handed option on the mound with a developing arsenal and plenty of upside. With a mix of youth and grit, Sapulpa is a team that has steadily improved and could be peaking at the right time. If their young core continues to rise to the moment, the Chieftains could turn some heads in the postseason.
Bartlesville Bruins

Overall Record: 19-15
District Record: 7-7
PLAYERS TO WATCH:
RHP/SS Barrett Merciez (2026)
RHP/OF Kaden Romesburg (2025)
C Jaxon Zaun (2025) missed half of season with injury
1B Cooper Swaim (2027)
Coach Cody Price and the Bartlesville Bruins enter the postseason with a solid 19-15 record and an even 7-7 mark in district play, positioning themselves as a tough, middle-of-the-pack team that’s capable of knocking off anyone when they’re playing clean baseball. With a mix of experienced leadership and rising young talent, the Bruins have the pieces to make a competitive run. Leading the charge is two-way standout Barrett Merciez, who has been a tone-setter on both sides of the ball. On the mound, Merciez brings a confident presence and advanced pitchability, while also serving as a key contributor at shortstop and in the heart of the lineup. Kaden Romesburg adds another important two-way piece, featuring as a steady presence in the outfield and providing key innings on the mound. His athleticism and ability to compete have made him a cornerstone for Bartlesville throughout the season. Behind the plate, Jaxon Zaun returned from injury midseason and has been a welcomed boost to both the lineup and pitching staff. His leadership and catch-and-throw ability elevate the Bruins’ defensive execution when he’s in the game. Cooper Swaim, a promising young first baseman, has emerged as a consistent offensive piece. With a strong frame and a developing bat, Swaim has stepped into the varsity spotlight and provided timely production during key stretches of the season. Bartlesville plays a clean, disciplined brand of baseball with the ability to keep games close and capitalize on mistakes. If their arms can keep them in tight ballgames and the offense finds rhythm, the Bruins could make things interesting in the 6A postseason bracket.
US Grant Generals

Overall Record: 2-18
District Record: 0-14
Coach Corrnish and the US Grant Generals head into the postseason focused on growth, development, and gaining valuable experience against top-level competition. While the season has brought its share of challenges, the Generals have continued to show up and compete, laying the groundwork for future improvement. With a young roster and limited varsity experience, this year has been about building a foundation. The coaching staff has emphasized fundamentals, toughness, and staying committed to the process as the program looks to take steps forward. Though wins have been hard to come by, the Generals have shown flashes of potential in spots and are gaining the kind of experience that will benefit them moving forward. The postseason presents an opportunity to compete with pride and continue to develop against high-level opponents. US Grant will look to finish the season with energy and effort, using this year’s lessons as a stepping stone toward building a stronger and more competitive program in the future.
