Maddox Greene played a pivotal role in Watauga High School’s championship run last week, earning him recognition as the Prep Baseball NC Player of the Week. The Class of 2025 shortstop was instrumental in Watauga’s three-win week that culminated in a conference tournament title.
Greene delivered a standout performance in the championship game, going 4-for-5 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBI. For the week, he finished 5-for-9 at the plate with a double, seven runs scored, and four RBI—providing both consistency and production in high-leverage moments.
A steady presence in the lineup and a leader on the field, Greene continues to be a key contributor for Watauga as they head into postseason play.
