2025 KSHSAA Power 25: Week 7

Andy Urban
Regional Supervisor

The Kansas high school baseball kicked off on March 20th with opening day for regular season action under KSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we published our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Kansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings. Check them all out HERE

Our scouts have been out and about covering the 2025 season, publishing scout notes and additional in-season content along the way, like Power 25 updates, Player of the Week awards, and weekly top performers included inside Diamond Notes.

During the season, you can catch all the action by following us on Twitter @PrepBaseballKS

While much of the initial lists are weighted on previous performances, prospects, and projections, updates will be inherently tied to the production on the field. Simply put: wins, level of competition, and prospects matter. A human element to the list will still provide important information on the nuances and intricacies that the season bestows. Whether it is a close loss in a rivalry game, a five-game in three days gauntlet, or a bout of sickness that depletes a lineup, you can count on Prep Baseball to critically examine the playing field at all times. It never fails that there are huge surprises in both directions as the season gets underway and that's why play the games. We have already seen some exciting movement in the Power 25.

The clickable teams below are those that turned in a season preview where you can find much more in-depth info.

  • A new No. 1 rises to the top as Lawrence Free State takes down the previous No. 1. The Firebirds' only blemishes on their schedule are losses to No. 3 Olathe East and No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas.
  • Basehor-Linwood continues to climb as they extend their win streak to 14 in a row.
  • Great Bend jumps into the top 20 as it notches another three wins last week.
  • With one of the toughest strength of schedules in the state, Blue Valley has started to course-correct with four high-quality wins in a row. The Tigers are up five spots.
  • Hayden remains the only undefeated team in our rankings. While their strength of schedule could be debated, undefeated is undefeated.
