LHP/1B

Beckett Shimpa stands out with a long, projectable 6-foot-3, 194-pound frame. On the mound, Shimpa features a hybrid delivery with a controlled leg lift and noticeable hip coil, showing clean lower-half rotation and a direct line to the plate. His arm action is medium-length with a high hand break into a long, inverted "W" shape, working through a ¾ arm slot with tilted shoulders. Shimpa’s fastball explodes out of the hand, topping at 92 mph and sitting 89-91 mph, with an average spin rate just over 2,000 rpm. He mixes in a tight 80-82 mph slider (1931 avg rpm) and a fading changeup at 79-82 mph (1816 avg rpm), both showing potential as quality secondary offerings. Shimpa’s size, arm strength, and pitch mix make him a high-upside arm to follow closely in the 2027 class.

2 Tyson Moore Buffalo C
Tyson Moore stands at 5-foot-11, 191 pounds with a strong, athletic build. Offensively, the right-handed hitter employs an open stance with a leg kick trigger, displaying the ability to backspin the baseball and utilize all fields with flashes of power to both gaps. He recorded a max exit velocity of 95.3 mph, averaging 89 mph, with a top batted ball distance of 360 feet and a max bat speed of 86.5 mph. Defensively, Moore is a physical presence behind the plate with solid mobility, a strong glove, and the ability to receive and control the zone. His pop times range from 1.94 to 2.09 seconds with a 78 mph catcher velocity. In the outfield, he shows athleticism and foot quickness, working low through the ball with a clean exchange and an 86 mph arm. A 7.00 runner in the 60, Moore combines strength, athleticism, and versatility, projecting as a high-level backstop with the tools to contribute in the outfield.

3 Alejandro Chavez Osseo  RHP/SS
Alejandro Chavez is a projectable two-way talent with a lean 6-foot, 148-pound frame. On the mound, he operates exclusively from the stretch with a closed start, utilizing a pronounced leg lift and big hip coil to generate momentum before landing in line with the plate. His arm action is quick and athletic, starting down and back before spiraling up from an inverted "W" into a clean release from a low ¾ slot. Chavez’s fastball sits 88–90 mph, topping at 90 with above-average spin rates (T2290 rpm), showing carry through the zone. His slider flashes sharp movement at 74–76 mph (T2294 rpm), and he mixes in a developing changeup at 79–80 mph with lower spin (T1848 rpm), creating effective velocity separation. With continued physical development and refinement, Chavez has the tools to emerge as a high-level pitching prospect.

4 Jackson Kolb  White Bear Lake SS/RHP

Jackson Kolb showcases an intriguing combination of athleticism and arm talent. Standing 5-foot-10 and 176 pounds, Kolb profiles as a shortstop and right-handed pitcher with a clean, efficient delivery. He begins with a closed-off start, utilizes a standard leg lift, and then drops into his backside with a quick, aggressive move down the slope, finishing on line. His arm works with quickness and intent, featuring a driven-back elbow at separation and a high three-quarter slot at release. On the mound, Kolb's fastball sits 88–89 mph, touching 89 with an average spin rate of 2264 rpm, showing life through the zone. He mixes in a sharp 70–71 mph curveball (2471 avg rpm), a tight 79–80 mph slider (2406 rpm), and a fading changeup at 76–78 mph (2356 avg rpm), rounding out a well-developed four-pitch mix. Kolb's pitchability and arm speed make him a high-follow arm in the 2027 class.

5 Alexander Kakach Wayzata RHP/OF
Alexander Kakach profiles as a two-way player with intriguing upside on the mound. At 6-foot, 179 pounds, he features a projectable frame and a polished delivery that begins with a hybrid start and a small slide into his leg lift. He stays tall in his back hip with a noticeable coil, allowing him to generate easy downhill momentum, finishing with a slightly crossbody landing. Kakach’s arm action is compact and efficient—working through a down-to-up spiral with big separation at footstrike—before whipping through a high ¾ slot. His fastball sits comfortably at 88–90 mph (T90) with above-average life (T2488, 2354 avg rpm). He pairs it with a sharp, high-spin slider at 77–78 mph (T2812, 2655 avg rpm), flashing swing-and-miss potential, and a developing changeup at 83–84 mph (T1988, 1898 avg rpm) that complements his arsenal.
