On Monday February 17th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff traveled to Bo Jackson’s Elite Sports in Lockport for the Lockport Preseason ID. This event is perennially one of our biggest on the winter calendar with over 130 prospects in attendance this year, and provides our staff one last look at the talent in the area before their spring seasons begin.

Today, we will continue our post-event process by rolling out the scouting reports for every outfielder in attendance from the event. Be on the lookout for additional stories such as this one, as we will continue to move across the diamond rolling out reports position-by-position.

Luke Doyle (Benet, 2026) just missed the cut but deserves a mention. Doyle is a dynamic athlete running a 6.54 60 yard dash, one of the top times throughout the entire winter showcase circuit. Doyle also peaked at 93 mph off the bat and his furthest batted ball traveled 324’.

Aidan Barrera (Sandburg) is another 2026 to know. The left/left prospect who is also interesting on the mound took a fluid round of BP and showed natural outfield actions.
