Each week throughout the high school season, we will announce the Prep Baseball Washington Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the state. With numerous players excelling both at the plate and on the mound, this award will be based on nominations submitted through our POTW Google Form.

Additionally, we will continue our Washington Diamond Notes to highlight other deserving players nominated by coaches who were not selected as the Pitcher or Hitter of the Week.

This week's Pitcher of the Week is '25 LHP Shane Johnson (Lake Washington).

Shane Johnson LHP / OF / Lake Washington, WA / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 7 / POS: 2 A top-ten ranked 2025 in the state, Johnson went 7 innings without allowing a hit last week to win POTW honors. The Oregon commit struck out 12 and walked four in a dominant complete game outing. The Future Games and Area Codes alum was most recently seen at PNW State Games last summer.
