OF Chris Zaferes (2025)
OF Colby Whiteman (2027)

Coach Turner and the Rams enter the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the state, as they have been throughout the year with a 34-2 record. They have been steady throughout with quality starting pitching, a disciplined offensive attack, and the ability to defend at a high level. On the mound, they’re led by two-way Kooper Ranallo as he offers a low 90s fastball along with big pitchability in his secondary offerings. They have also had big seasons out of Jaden Gustafson as well as senior LHP Cayden Schroyer using his long frame to create tough angles for opposing hitters. Offensively, it’s as steady a group as you’ll find in the state and it starts with leadoff man, junior Easton Hailey. He’s on a shortlist of the top table setters in the state as he churns out Quality ABs consistently. Senior Cooper Auschwitz is one of the top power hitters in the state but has also shown the ability to hit deep into counts. Fellow seniors Carter Martinez and Chris Zaferes have been extremely productive in the middle of the order along with two-way Eli Enzbrenner. Sophomores Benji Bauer and Joey Grabeal have each performed at a high level with Bauer showing the ability to really hit and Grabeal flashing big catch and throw feel. Sophomore Colby Whiteman has also emerged down the stretch playing sound defense but also showing the ability to provide extra base hits from a physical frame. Owasso has played quality, complimentary baseball, throughout the year attacking the zone on the mound, playing high-level defense, and executing offensively at a high level and will be one of the favorites in a state title run this postseason.

Jenks Trojans

Overall Record: 19-18
District Record: 6-8

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

SS/RHP Clark Cariker (2027)

OF Blake Whittington (2026)

1B Kaden Tunnell (2026)

C Carson Rackers (2026)

RHP Cohen Miller (2027)

OF/RHP Jack Tiefenthaler (2026)

Coach Hendricks and the Trojans enter the postseason as a talented but battle-tested group that has weathered a tough schedule and now looks to peak at the right time. With a near-.500 overall record and a 6-8 district finish, the Trojans are capable of making noise behind a strong group of underclassmen and versatile contributors. At the center of it all is Clark Cariker, a standout two-way player who sets the tone at shortstop and on the mound. Cariker plays with maturity beyond his years, showing advanced defensive feel and competing with confidence when handed the ball. Blake Whittington adds athleticism and range to the outfield, providing a steady glove and the ability to impact the game on the basepaths. Offensively, he brings a contact-driven approach and sets the table well for the middle of the order. In the heart of that lineup is Kaden Tunnell, a physical first baseman with run-producing ability and a reliable bat. He’s been a key presence for the Trojans in big moments and offers leadership through his consistency. Behind the plate, Carson Rackers has handled the pitching staff well and provided timely offense. His toughness and feel for the game give Jenks a steady presence at one of the most important positions on the field. Cohen Miller and Jack Tiefenthaler round out a deep and promising group of arms. Miller gives the Trojans a rising right-handed option, while Tiefenthaler offers two-way value with tools in the outfield and projectable stuff on the mound. If the Trojans can put it all together and get strong outings on the mound, they’re more than capable of making a push. With young talent and enough depth, Jenks could be a tough out in the postseason bracket.

Union Redhawks

Overall Record: 13-20
District Record: 7-7

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

RHP/DH Armando Gomez (2025; Seminole)

SS Cody Young (2026)

CF Asher Fowler (2026)

INF Zach Oliver (2026)

C Carson Brooks (2026)

OF Devin Blackwell (2025)

RHP Nate Gregg (2025; Southwestern)

Coach Newkirk and the Redhawks enter the postseason as a dangerous team with the potential to play spoiler behind a core of experienced upperclassmen and a steady group of juniors. Despite an overall record below .500, the Redhawks finished district play at an even 7-7 and have shown they can compete with anyone when firing on all cylinders. At the forefront is Armando Gomez, a senior two-way standout and key leader for the Redhawks. On the mound, Gomez brings a competitive edge and a fastball with life, while also serving as a run-producing bat in the middle of the order. He’s headed to Seminole State and gives Union an ace-like presence in big games. Cody Young is a smooth shortstop with advanced defensive instincts and a developing offensive game. His ability to control the infield and make tough plays look easy gives Union a strong foundation up the middle. Asher Fowler provides range and consistency in center field, tracking down balls in the gap and giving the Redhawks a reliable top-of-the-order presence. He plays with energy and has emerged as a catalyst for the offense. Zach Oliver and Carson Brooks are both part of a promising 2026 class, with Oliver offering versatility in the infield and Brooks handling catching duties with toughness and poise. Both players have contributed throughout the season and continue to trend upward. Senior Devin Blackwell adds speed and athleticism to the outfield, while Nate Gregg, committed to Southwestern, provides another valuable senior arm capable of giving quality innings in high-leverage spots. Union has the tools and experience to be a tough matchup. If they get strong outings on the mound and timely production from the offense, the Redhawks could make a deeper run than their record might suggest.

Northwest Classen Knights

Overall Record: 18-16
District Record: 0-14

PLAYERS TO WATCH:

C Jovanny Charqueno

INF Rey Perez

OF Sam McClure

INF Jayden Mayfield

1B Adrian Vargas

INF Rogelio Perez

Coach Todd and the Knights enter the postseason as one of the more intriguing teams in the state, boasting a winning overall record but still searching for their first district victory. The Knights have found success outside of district play, stacking up 18 wins and showing they can compete when they're executing clean baseball. Despite the 0-14 district mark, this group has proven they can be dangerous, especially when playing with energy and limiting mistakes. Offensively, the Knights have been able to produce runs in bunches, using a balanced approach at the plate and aggressive baserunning to create pressure. Defensively, they continue to make strides and have leaned on a few veteran pieces to help anchor key positions. The Knights are led by a group of steady contributors including Jovanny Charqueno, Rey Perez, Sam McClure, Jayden Mayfield, Adrian Vargas, and Rogelio Perez—all of whom have played key roles in helping the team remain competitive throughout the year. If NW Classen can tighten things up on the mound and in the field, they have the offensive punch and team chemistry to make life difficult for higher seeds. Their non-district success proves they can play winning baseball—now it’s about carrying that into the postseason stage.
