As the summer approaches, the Class of 2027 in Florida will have a target on their backs, gearing up for August 1st—the day they can begin contacting college coaches. This talented group already boasts notable names, with six Power 4 commits: Chase Fuller, Rylan McMahan, Max Hemingway, Sushi Wilson, Preston Matricardi, and Bryan Ravelo. Today, we highlight 27 uncommitted 2027 prospects in the state who deserve to be on college coaches’ radars heading into the summer.

Shortstop (6)

Graham Houston, SS, Venice

5’11”, 179 lbs. .410 average and .886 OPS across 31 games, capitalizing on early-count pitches in the zone with a quick, rangy athleticism and strong arm at shortstop. Houston shows high baseball IQ. Added strength could transform him into a dynamic, all-around prospect.

Pitcher (8)

Kyler Meccage, LHP/OF, IMG Academy

At 6’2”, 170 pounds, Kyler Meccage is a lean, athletic two-way talent with a clean operation on the mound. Fastball reaches 89.5 mph (17.9 IVB), paired with an above-average slider (71.5-73 mph, 2518 rpm) and feel for the changeup, attacks the strike zone confidently.

Catcher (3)

CJ Wall, C, TNXL Academy

5’11” 179 lbs. Wall’s present hit tool stands out, with an accurate barrel that consistently finds the ball, prioritizing contact over power. His gap-to-gap approach produces line drives and doubles, showcasing a disciplined swing that sprays to all fields. Behind the plate, Wall displays average catch-and-throw skills, with a long arm action that delivers accurate throws to bases. His receiving and blocking are reliable for his age, and he shows a good feel for managing pitchers.

Corner Infield (5)

Bryce Besece, 1B, Jesuit

6’1”, 190 lbs. .952 OPS with 7 XBH and 21 RBI this spring, showcasing pull-side power from a left-handed swing. Projecting as a first baseman, his solid glove work fits a high-level program.

Outfield (5)

Jake Cueto, OF, Belen Jesuit

5’9”, 153 lbs. LHH OF boasts a lean, athletic build. True center fielder, range, and above-average arm lock down the outfield. A 6.9-second runner with potential to get faster, Cueto swiped 17 stolen bases. The gap-to-gap approach produced a 1.061 OPS this spring, with eight extra-base hits and 13 RBI, though power remains limited. Gamer and table setter.
