Prep Baseball Wisconsin Player of the Week: Jack Murray

Junior outfielder/designated hitter Jack Murray (Brookfield East, 2026) swung a hot bat for the Spartans last week going 10-for-18 helping his team to a 4-1 record for the week. On the year up to this point Murray is hitting .556 with a 1.545 OPS while hitting three-hole for them this spring.

Starting his week off on Monday in a 13-10 win over West Allis Hale, Murray went 1-for-3 with a two run home run in the bottom of the first, a walk and a stolen base.

In Tuesday’s matchup against West Allis Hale, Murray went 4-for-5 with a double, three RBIs, three stolen bases and two runs scored in a 9-6 win.

On Thursday in a 9-5 loss over Marquette, Murray would go 1-for-4 with a home run in the top of the first.

Keeping his week going on Friday, in a 7-1 victory over Marquette University, he went 1-for-3 with a stolen base and two runs scored.

Rounding off his week on Saturday in a close, 6-5 win over Wisconsin Lutheran, Murray would go 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, walking once.

The junior is performing as one of the top middle of the order bats this spring. A physical hitter at the plate standing at 6-foot-3, 225-pounds, with plenty of strength behind his powerful RH bat. Two sport stand out as well, one of the top football players in the area as well.

We're thankful for the POTW submissions we received from the coaches across the state. The players who garnered POTW consideration will earn a place within tomorrow's Diamond Notes story, so be on the lookout for that.
