Each week, coaches throughout the state submit their nominations for the Prep Baseball California Player of the Week for both NorCal and SoCal. Week 11 Players of the Week honors went to Aidan Young (Villa Park, 2026) and Brady Estes (Whitney, 2025). Young hit .667 on the week, going 8-for-12 with two home runs, seven RBI, and five runs scored. Estes threw 6.1 shutout innings in the win over Davis Sr., allowing only one hit, striking out 11, and walking just two on 103 pitches.
With all of the talent throughout the state, it can be difficult to pinpoint just one pitcher and positional player from NorCal and SoCal each week so our 'Diamond Notes' articles highlight the top performances that coaches submitted.
