Andy Urban
Central Region & Prep Baseball Tournaments KC Scouting Director

Each week, KSHSAA coaches around the state submit to us their nominations for the PBR Kansas Player and Pitcher of the Week. While we can only pick one of each, there are always a number of other impressive performances that were in the mix for the award and deserve recognition. Here’s a look at some of the most notable from the week four (April 15th-21st).

Treyton DesLauriers LHP / OF / Olathe West, KS / 2025

The Central Missouri commit is one of top statistical performers on the mound this spring, and last week was no exception. The left-hander pitched a complete game shutout going all seven innings, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out 5 on 74 pitches.

Luke Briley C / 3B / Heritage Christian, KS / 2024

The Missouri Western comment went 8-for-13 with two doubles, a home run,  six RBIs, and 6 runs scored from the lead off position. Defensively, the backstop only allowed one stolen base in four games to help Heritage Christian win the Berkley Walline tournament.

Deacon Pomeroy C / 3B / Shawnee Heights, KS / 2025

The Oklahoma State commit continues to dominate competition on both sides of the ball this spring. Last week the right-hander went 2-0 on mound including a complete game vs BVSW. He tossed 11 total innings 10 punch outs and 3 earned runs. Offensively, the right-handed power bat went 6-for-12 with three extra base hits.

Kaden Kearn OF / RHP / Wamego, KS / 2025

The quick twitch right-handed hitter stays hot this spring with another big week. Kearn went 6-for-12 with two triples, a double, and a home run. Kearn also drove in six while scoring eight runs and stealing three bags.

Michael Winter RHP / 3B / Shawnee Mission East, KS / 2025

The physical right-hander seems to get better and better this sping. Last week Winter tossed a complete game, alowing just one earned run while punching out 10.

Corey Crumrine RHP / SS / Sedgwick, KS / 2025

Crumrine had a huge week on both sides of the ball. On the mound, the right-hander tossed 8.2 innings going 2-0 allowing just four hits and no runs while punching out 14.  Offensively, the right hander hitter collected seven hits for a .636 Avg. and scored nine runs.

Jackson Scarlett, Segwick High School

Scarlett collected 9 hits for a .643 average with two triples and eight RBIs.
