The Tennessee Diamond Notes is a 2024 content piece that will focus on highlighting some top performances across the state based on nominations from high school coaches. We will highlight those positions players, pitchers and two-way players every Wednesday of the high school season that are deserving to be highlighted based on their performance.

For now, let's take a look at those players from across the state highlighted in this week's Tennessee Diamond Notes. 

 

TENNESSEE DIAMOND NOTES: WEEK 6

Aiden Reels RHP / Pickett Co High School, TN / 2025 Reels jumped on our radar this week after an impressive showing in two different games on the bump. 1 st game of the week, Reels helped clinch Pickett County's runner-up spot in district 7A with a one hit performance against Clay County. Then Friday night, he no-hit Sunbright. For the week, he would go 13 innings gathering 2 wins in the process with 1 hit given up, 16 strikeouts to just 3 walks.

Bradley Stubbs SS / RHP / Collierville, TN / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 93 / POS: 18 Stubbs had an impressive week on the mound in a win & save vs Houston last Tuesday/Wednesday game, while also racking up a win vs Nationally ranked Valley View (Arkansas). He has proved to be a reliable arm starting and out of the pen for the Dragons thus far on the season.

Christian Doty SS / OF / Lausanne Collegiate, TN / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 1 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 50 / POS: 15 The number 1 ranked 2026 in the TN class had a strong week at the plate where he went 5 for 13 (.385) with 2 triples, 1 HR, 4 RBIs, OBP .500 and a .923 SLG.

Ben Timblin OF / RHP / Signal Mountain , TN / 2024 Rankings  StateRank: 46 / POS: 10 Timblin had a very strong week at the plate for Signal Mountain where he hit .667 with 2 doubles and 6 HR's. Facing district rival Cleveland, Timblin had two 2 HR's, as well as 2 HR's vs Red Bank. For the season, Timblin is Hitting .557 with 11 doubles and 11 HR's.

Knox Kremblas OF / 2B / Sevier County, TN / 2024 In four games, Kremblas would go 7/12 (.583 avg) .688 OBP, .1688 OPS, 1.000 SLG with 5 2B's, 3 RBI's, 6 R's, 4 BB and 5 SB's. In last Monday's win over Seymore, Kremblas went 3/4 with 3 doubles, 1 RBI, 2 R, and 1 BB. On the season (24 Games) he is 22-67 with a  .328 AVG, .444 OBP, .892 OPS, .448 SLG, 8 2B's, 12 RBI's, 21 R's, 13 BB's, 14 K's with 19 SB's.

Dawson Sweeney 3B / RHP / Nolensville , TN / 2024 Sweeny has been really impressive in the #2 spot of Nolensville's rotation where he would throw 7 innings giving up 3 hits with 0 R against district rival Summitt. He would only give up 2 walks to 12 K's. He would also go 4-11 on the week with  2 2B's, 1 3B, 4 R's, 1 BB and 3 HBP's.

Korbin Reynolds C / SS / Clarksville , TN / 2025 Rankings  StateRank: 5 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 154 / POS: 15 The top catching prospect in the 2025 class continues to impress at the plate where he walked away with a .800 AVG on the week to go along with an 1.646 OPS, 5 RBI, 3 BB's and 4 HBP's. For the season he is hitting .449 with 40 H's, 31 RBI's, 12 BB's; 11 HBP's.

Tommy Baker OF / 2B / South Gibson County High School, TN / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 69 / POS: 14 Baker had a solid week at the plate going 11-20 (.550 AVG) with 4 2B's, 2 HR's with 9 RBI's. He was also had 3 BB with a .625 OBP and a 1.100 SLG. He is off to a tremendous start to the season after being a standout at Prep Baseball Tennessee's Preseason All-State.
