Game Preview:  The Patriots currently hold a 1 game lead over the Highlanders as the two square off in this final week set. Granada Hills will need to win both games this week to take the crown in the West Valley League while the Patriots can claim another league title with just one win this week. Both teams have played 26 games this year and each pitching staff has been especially strong with the Patriots featuring a staff that has allowed only 86 runs over that span for under 4 runs per game while the Highlanders have allowed just 73 runs on the spring for under 3 runs per game. While on the offensive side the Highlanders have been steady all spring scoring 6.1 runs per game for a total of 158 runs on the season where the Patriots have been slightly less explosive scoring 4.2 runs per game for a total of 109 on the spring. The Patriots have been adept at winning close games with 6 wins by just one run and they will need to rely on the knack for winning tight games in what should be a pair of closely contested matchups between these two teams as they both vie for a league title.
