MADISON, MS - The South MS Rising Stars ID was held on Saturday, April 6th at The Southern Performance Institute in Madison, MS. This event was an open event that consisted of some prospects from the 2028-2029 classes across all parts of Mississippi. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw bullpens and were able to get numbers and metrics via TrackMan. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing at the event.

Kee Curro, CANTON ACADEMY (MS), 2029
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 5-10, 125-pounds. Lean, wiry frame
Delivery: Smooth, controlled tempo. Off line to 3rd base side causing rollover. Loose front side. Could get longer into stride.
Arm Action: RH. Long arm action.

Delivery: Quicker tempo and off line to 3rd base side. Bent front knee at foot strike.
Arm Action: RH. Longer arm action.

Chase Parker, VANCLEAVE HIGH SCHOOL (MS), 2028

Body: 5-7, 120-pounds. Wiry build
Delivery: Quicker tempo. Off line to first base side occasionally. Cuts upper half off some.
Arm Action: LH. Loose arm action.
FB: T73, 70-72 mph. Good arm side action. T1843, 1705 average rpm.
CB: 59-63 mph. Developing action T1976, 1872 average rpm.
SL: 60-61 mph. Solid shape though still developing. T1939, 1908 average rpm.

Grayson Rymer, TRICOUNTY ACADEMY (MS), 2028

Delivery: Controlled and athletic. Solid direction to target. Fairly polished delivery. Competes!
Arm Action: RH. Loose arm action.
FB: T82, 80-82 mph. Solid arm side action on inner half of plate. T1912, 1835 average rpm.
CB: 66-67 mph. Solid command with developing swing and miss consistency. T1985, 1966 average rpm.

Delivery: Quicker, yet controlled tempo. Solid direction to plate with depth at release. Plenty of upside on the mound.
Arm Action: LH. Long arm action with whip.
