Today we are releasing our weekly update to the Virginia/DC Power 25. Take a look at some new faces and some movement throughout the rankings.

• Some shakeup in the Top 5, as Miller School moves up one spot and Benedictine slides back to #5 after two losses this week. Benedictine lost a 2-0 game to Miller School and a one run loss to Archbishop Spalding, the #1 team in Maryland.

• Liberty Christian remains one of the two unbeaten teams in the state. The Bulldogs had three wins this past week and have a tough test coming up this Friday at EC Glass.

• As we stated last week, Gainesville continues to trend up and makes their way into the Power 25 this week. The Cardinals had a 3-0 week last week, knocking off Freedom (South Riding) and Riverside. Their pitching staff allowed two total runs over the course of their three win week. 

• For the next five teams in, three western teams are looking to make the move into the rankings. Buckingham is one of the two undefeated teams remaining, Franklin County sits at 12-3 and has a chance to run the table on their remaining schedule, and the Class 1 power Auburn (Riner) sits at 17-1 with a big test coming against William Byrd later this week.
