UNCOMMITTED '24s

Kyle Hartmann C / Sycamore, IL / 2024

From 6/5/23: "...Uncommitted. Ranked No. 40 in Illinois’ class of 2024. Stands at an athletic 5-foot-10, 175-pounds with clear upper-body strength. Started behind the plate and batted cleanup for the Spartans in their Super-Sectional matchup. A right-handed hitter, hitterish at the plate with pop in the bat, made consistent contact with the ball throughout the game. Recorded two hits in the game - a double and an RBI single. His first at-bat was a well-hit fastball to deep left field, but produced a flyout. Defensively, natural leadership tendencies, controls the game. Quick transfer and strong arm on throws to second (1.94-2.03 in-event pop times), receives the ball with strong hands, moves athletically behind the plate, soft blocker. Uncommitted junior that has continued to show well this spring for our staff."

Tyler Holman RHP / Liberty , MO / 2024

6-foot-4, 180-pound uncommitted right-hander that was invited to represent Team Missouri at the Future Games back in 2022. Has pitched into the low-90s this winter with advanced feel to spin a mid-70s breaking ball.

Bryce Koch RHP / Barrington, IL / 2024

From 5/4/23: "...Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 72 in the state. 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame, athletic and projectable with room to fill out. Came out of the ‘pen for Barrington and gave a brief, but impressive look in his one inning of work. He worked Exclusively out of the stretch, moving fluidly and athletically while working in-line down the mound with little perceived effort. His arm is quick and plays from a high ¾ window, creating a fastball that sat 89-90 mph with life through the zone. He flashed a sharp, two-plane breaking ball at 77-79 mph, kept down and playing off the fastball effectively. High-follow 2024 arm."

Jonah Weathers 3B / Marian Catholic, IL / 2024

Physical, well-built 6-foot-3, 180-pound multi-sport athlete; is a standout on the basketball court. Represented Team Illinois at the Future Games in 2022. Fluid, athletic right-handed stroke that's flashed juice previously to our staff. Also owns above-average arm strength from the outfield. Still uncommitted.

Ethan Highfill OF / Sandburg, IL / 2024

From 6/20/23: "...has a strong 6-foot-1,183-pound frame and showed the ability to hit to all parts of the field in BP while recording a max exit velocity of 94.3 mph. He also got on the mound and worked with an uptempo, side-saddle delivery that moved athletically downhill. His arm was long and aggressive from a ¾ slot. Highfill worked a four-pitch mix with the fastball sitting 82-83 mph, topping at 83.6 mph with ride through the zone. The slider was sharp and played well to the glove side while the curveball is developing with gradual break, and the circle-changeup stayed down in the zone."

Samuel McArthur OF / Champaign Central, IL / 2024

From 7/18/23: "...is an uncommitted senior-to-be, and currently ranked No. 140 in the state’s 2024 class. McCarthur jumped on our radar this spring after a brief outing on the mound where he jumped up 87 mph, earning a mention within our ‘Week 8 Scout Blog’. During his ‘pen in Normal, McCarthur impressed with athletic actions on the mound and his quick arm. His fastball sat mostly 87 mph, topping out at 87.7 mph with an average of 7.3 in. of horizontal movement. His curveball sat 72-75 mph with 11/5 shape, and spun it at an average of 2109 rpm. He rounded out his arsenal with a 10/4 shaped slider that sat 74-77 mph. He throws all his offerings with conviction. His arm played in the outfield, too, where he fired his best bullet at 89 mph (second best at the event) on throws to home. His peak exit velocity at the event was 92.6 mph. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect is a name-to-know in the 2024 class."

Jayden Patel 3B / Lake Park, IL / 2024

From 6/25/23: "...Currently ranked No. 190 in the class of 2024 for the state of Illinois, Patel continued to swing a hot bat on Sunday going 1-for-2 with a loud double and two RBIs. Was also on-base two more times after being hit with pitches. An uncommitted 2024 to continue to monitor."

Noah Tomaras C / Lemont, IL / 2024

From 6/5/23: "...stands in a strong 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. The uncommitted senior-to-be showed well for our staff last month at Providence Catholic High School. Tomaras looked like a natural behind the dish, working quickly to release, popping a 1.99 on his best throw down to second base while peaking at 79 mph from the crouch. Consistently on the barrel (60%), Tomaras blasted the farthest ball of the day (330’), and he produced a peak exit velocity of 91.1 mph from the right side. He also showed quick bat speed with an average speed of 70.4 mph and a peak speed of 75.1 mph, both good for second at the event."

Tyler DeLuca RHP / Minooka, IL / 2024

From 2/24/23: "...stands at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds and showed well during his ‘pen on Monday. DeLuca showed off some arm talent with his low effort delivery by running his fastball up to 87 mph that was consistently around the zone. Also, showed feel for his two offspeed pitches, a curveball with 11/5 shape and a fading changeup with some depth."

Max Kaplan LHP / New Trier, IL / 2024

From 6/9/23: "...Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 180 pounds upside athlete with loose, lean levers that are capable of tacking on strength. Toed the rubber for the Trevians in the semifinal game against Brother Rice. Relaxed presence on the rubber, long-triding delivery with a freely moving lower half, works across body some with deception. Long, loose arm action, finishes out of a ¾ slot. Heavy fastball played at 81-84 mph, worked with natural arm-side run and sink. Changeup played in the low-70s off his fastball’s plane, threw it at the same arm speed, too. Mixed in a mid-70s breaking ball with some depth off a 1/7 plane. An upside pitchability southpaw that’s comfortable using his entire arsenal and anchored the New Trier pitching staff throughout this spring season."

Ben Llewellyn RHP / Downers Grove North, IL / 2024

From 4/6/23: "...Uncommitted. Projectable 6-foot-3, 180-pound build with upside. The right-hander impressed with a fluid and easy-moving delivery, producing a fastball up to 84 mph and sitting in the 82-83 mph range. He went to a short slider 10/4 at 73-74 mph to pair off the fastball as well as a straight change at 76 mph with fastball intent. Clean-moving right-hander with more left in the tank."

Anthony Sarro OF / St. Rita, IL / 2024

From 2/17/23: "...was one of the more polished, barrel-control, bat-to-ball, left-handed bats in attendance. Sarro is a 5-foot-11, 160-pound, left/left prospect who stays compact, swinging in a tight window, with the ability to stay inside the baseball and pepper line drives to all fields. Highly-impressive on the barrel, balanced round. Also, a 6.92 runner in the 60."

Jimmy Anderson SS / Joliet West, IL / 2024

From 6/23/23: "...continued to show why he is one of the top uncommitted athletes in Illinois’ 2024 class Friday night, closing out the final three frames to secure a win over the Schaumburg Seminoles. Up-tempo delivery, fastball reached 88 mph, sitting 83-87 mph. Tight spin on curveball, 68-74 mph. Also flashed a changeup at 74-77 mph for strikes. Played shortstop, showcasing easy range and a strong arm. Finished 3-for-4 at the plate with two singles and a bases-clearing triple to the opposite field."

Ryan Colucci 2B / Lake Park, IL / 2024

From 2/17/23: "...made it abundantly clear he has been putting in work over the offseason. He's added all kinds of muscle to his 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame which has translated to all parts of his game. His 60 is down to a 7.05, he was 88 mph across the infield (up from 82 mph) and the ball is coming off his bat much louder than before. Colucci averaged 86.4 mph off the bat, T94.9 and his furthest batted ball traveled 342’. It's a short, compact strong swing with lifted tendencies throughout. On the infield, Colucci moves with active feet and fluid actions, relying on soft hands to secure the ball out front and into his body before moving into a clean transfer. His arm plays with life across the diamond, topping at 88 mph."

Physical 6-foot-4, 200-pound two-way follow. Was up to 85 mph at an event last year with a strong right-handed swing.

Jack Roessler RHP / Waterloo, IL / 2024

From 6/15/23: "...At 6-foot-3, 200-pounds... [Roessler] doesn’t lack physicality in stature and showed that at the plate throughout his round of BP. Roessler blistered multiple baseballs from a short, uphill right-handed swing, launching four of his batted balls at 320+ feet, including three that traveled more than 345 feet, per TrackMan. His furthest barrel was bashed at 353 feet over the left field wall, leaving his bat at 97 mph, and his 101.2 mph max exit velocity was the second highest of this event. Roessler’s strength aided him in generating easy bat (76.4 mph) and hand speed (24 mph) on average. He’s also a football player and that athleticism shows, as running a 7.18 60-yard dash at his size is impressive. Roessler is a physical right-handed hitter that’s still uncommitted."

Jake Stedman SS / Belleville West, IL / 2024

From 6/15/23: "...another uncommitted soon-to-be senior that showed well at this event. Stedman continues to add noticeable strength, now standing at a more filled out 5-foot-10, 170-pounds with physicality throughout. He swung with authority throughout BP, generating some of the highest bat speed (77.8 mph) and hand speed (26.1 mph) at peak from this event. Stedman’s firmest batted ball jumped off his bat at 97.2 mph and he drove three balls 330+ feet at 90+ mph into the pull-side gap. Across the infield, Stedman fired an 86 mph strike on his first throw, good for the hardest mark of the event. This showing, coupled with yet another strong season at Belleville West where he slashed .356/.374/.442, has Stedman headed into a key summer with momentum."

Frankie Bilecki LHP / Marist, IL / 2024

From 8/2/23: "...currently ranked No. 91 in the state. Standing 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, the southpaw showed off a lively fastball that reached up to 89 mph, sitting right at 86-88 mph. He went to a sharp slider at 77-79 mph to collect swings and misses. Flashed a straight change at 81 mph. Impressive look at the uncommitted southpaw, who has now raised his stock with his recent velocity jump."

Cody DelFavero OF / Morris, IL / 2024

From 6/20/23: "...stands at a strong, 5-foot-8, 181-pounds. DelFavero is a left/left prospect who took one of the more physical rounds of BP on the day. He flashed strong, explosive hands with a natural uphill path and registered a max exit velocity of 92.9 mph (87.8 mph avg). Defensively, he showed smooth feet and a strong arm, producing a max velocity of 84 mph on throws to home plate. In the mound he showed three-pitch feel from the left side with his fastball touching 81.1 mph with command to the glove side. His curveball showed a 10/4 shape, and he rounded out his arsenal with a change-up that showed downer action that he was able to land for strikes. Also ran a 7.17 60 time."

Hayden Fellows C / Downers Grove South, IL / 2024

From 2/24/23: "...showcased a loose, whippy right-handed swing that stays level and through the zone a long time. Fellows was consistently on the barrel and sprayed hard line-drive contact to all fields. Fellows registered a 97.2 mph peak exit velocity with an averaged bat speed of 71.6 mph. The talented junior showed equally as well behind the plate, recording a low pop time of 2.00 with a quick/clean transfer and directional footwork - reaching up to 81 mph from the chute. Strong all-around showing for the uncommitted backstop."

Clay Gadbois RHP / Kankakee, IL / 2024

Lanky 6-foot-3, 175-pound athlete that offers plenty of future projection. Clean, athletic arm that's reportedly pitched into the upper-80s this past spring season and throughout the summer.

Gabe Vojak OF / Beavercreek, OH / 2024

From 4/3/23: "...Muscular 5-foot-10, 165-pound athlete with lean strength. Hit in the two-hole and started in center field for the Indians. Easy and athletic at the plate, starts balanced in the box with a slight back load while his lower half works in sync. Short, simple and direct path to contact from the left side, works on top of the baseball. Uses the whole field, squared up a few balls foul to the opposite field in this look. Patient at the plate, understands the strike zone and doesn’t expand often. Does the little things - will throw down a bunt, take the extra base, go first-to-third, etc. Also a confident defender in center field that moves fluidly out there and covers ground. A competitive, hard-nosed gamer-type that’s still uncommitted to follow for Mascoutah."

Nicholas Rayyan RHP / Stevenson, IL / 2024

From 2/25/23:

Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-2, 220-pounds. Well proportioned, sturdy build.

From 4/15/23: "...Uncommitted. Athletic, strong 5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting infielder got the start at shortstop and batted down in the lineup. Setup in a balance stance with a wide base, minimum pre-pitch movement with a short stride. Quick twitch with athletic hands, uppercut swing through the zone, works the whole field on a line drive approach. Went 2-4 on the day with two runs batted. Defensively at shortstop, has fluid footwork ranging to both sides of the ball, with soft hands and a clean exchange. A winner at our Preseason All-State where he ran a top-10 60 yard time and had the fourth hardest infield velocity."

Aidan Nolan OF / New Trier, IL / 2024

From 4/19/23: "...Uncommitted. 6-foot, 180-pound frame. Only got one at-bat due to the game being called early but made the most of his time with an opposite field home run to start off the game. Right-handed hitter, works direct and through the ball, stays through the zone, present bat-strength. Above-average athlete, recording a 6.92 in-event over the winter. Speed looks to translate to the other side of the ball, showing fluid and athletic footwork during IO."

Quick tempo, simple mover, gets to his balance point in rhythm and works downhill in a tall/fall type pattern. Upright at footstrike, strides in line to target and finishes over his front knee at release. Short, athletic, and continuous arm stroke, works clean from a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat in the low-80s, touching 84 mph a handful of times over the first few two innings. Confidently spun a downer breaking ball with depth at 71-73 mph, 2400-to-2500 RPM. Flashed feel to fade a changeup in warmups, turned to it sparingly in-game."

Ryan Groberski 1B / Lockport, IL / 2024

From 4/29/23: "...Uncommitted. Listed at 6-foot, 202-pounds with some strength throughout. Impressed at the plate with a simple right-handed swing that stays through the ball, using the middle/opposite part of the field consistently and also back-spinning the ball at times. Strong right-handed swing with some power potential. Finished the day 3-for-4 with a double, RBI and a run scored."

Angel Mohammad OF / Taft, IL / 2024

From 2/22/23: "...An athletic outfielder to make note of...Mohammad started his day by cruising to an event-best 6.88 in the 60-yard dash (6.69 in the past). From 7/9/23: "...Uncommitted. 6-foot-1, 200-pounds with strength throughout. Hackman hopped on the mound today and dominated in his three innings of work. Hackman has a simple and repeatable delivery that works downhill from the right side. Hackman had a fastball that sat 83-86 mph with sink, played both at the top and at the bottom of the zone. Hackman paired his fastball with a tight slider that induced uncomfortable swings with clear out-pitch capabilities. Hackman’s final line: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K."

Short and to the ear out of the glove into a high ¾ slot. 6-foot, 185-pound athlete with bat strength and bat speed that recently impressed at the Top Tier Scout Day with noticeable batted ball data. 95.5 mph max exit velocity, 87.4 mph average, 330 ft. peak batted distance. Also 25.4 mph of hand speed and 30.9 g of rotational acceleration, per Blast Motion.

Brooks Neuhoff 3B / IMG Academy, FL / 2024

From 7/18/23: "...was another right-handed hitter that took a noticeably loud round of BP. The 6-foot, 170-pound Neuhoff flicked balls off his barrel with authority, hitting nearly every ball over 90 mph with a peak exit velocity of 96.8 mph. His furthest ball comfortably cleared the left field wall, traveling an estimated 355 feet, per TrackMan. Neuhoff led all infielders in throwing velocity (85 mph) and he also topped at 83 mph from the outfield."

Sean Kempf C / Crystal Lake Central , IL / 2024

From 3/2/23: "...is another catcher with an impactful right-handed swing. Kempf has a compact 5-foot-10, 185-pound frame and his swing is much the same. He stays short and direct to the ball, flat through the zone with above-average bat-to-ball skills and creates backspin contact to the gaps with a 96 mph peak exit velocity, 85.4 mph average. Kempf showed improvements from behind the plate since our last look, lowering his pop-time down to 2.00 seconds and adding three mph to his velocity out of the chute (now T78 mph)."

Tyler Ledvina LHP / Lincoln-Way East, IL / 2024

From 2/24/23: "...is a 5-foot-11 left-hander who was up to 86.2 mph in Lockport, with a quick arm, fluid. He mixed in both a true four-seam and a two-seamer that did run hard arm-side at times, and both kinds of fastballs showed life through the zone. Ledvina’s slider also has some sharpness to it, spinning at over 2,200 rpm on average, with sweep-type action. His feel for the strike zone with all three pitches, including a changeup, helped him stand out last weekend."

Cooper Marrs RHP / Riverside-Brookfield, IL / 2024

From 5/13/23: "...Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 154 in the Illinois’ class of 2024. 6-foot-4, 195-pound, long, athletic build, highly-projectable with plenty of room for continued physical development. Right-handed hitter got the start in right field and batted second in the lineup. Marrs went 5-for-5 on the day with a go-ahead three-run home run in the ninth inning to help give his team a win over the No. 20 team in the state. Crouched, slightly open setup and loads into backside. Athletic, loose hands with natural loft through the zone. Defensively, tracked down multiple balls ranging to both gaps. Long strided. Upside uncommitted junior to follow moving forward."

Parker Reinke OF / St. Charles North, IL / 2024

Reinke has an advanced frame at 6-foot-3, 185-pounds and plenty of intrigue to his entire game. Offensively, the right-handed hitter has a long swing, creating leverage to the pull-side with natural lift through the zone and jump off the barrel to the pull-side of the diamond. Reinke averaged 89.3 mph off the bat during his round of BP with his furthest batted ball traveling 329 feet. Reinke also is a natural outfield defender moving with fluidity while showing off loose, clean outfield actions. Reinke’s arm plays easy with carry at 84 mph. Upside outfielder in the 2024 class.

Toby Schriefer RHP / Bradley Bourbonnais , IL / 2024

From 2/25/23:

Positional Profile: RHP/1B
Body: 6-3, 190-pounds. Athletic build with present strength.
Delivery: Upright throughout, tall and fall delivery, lands square with balanced finish.
Arm Action: RH. Short arm action, high 3/4 slot.
FB: T87, 85-87 mph. Standard action, plays to arm side. T2312, 2242 average rpm.
SL: 75-77 mph. 10/4 shape. T2190, 2104 average rpm.
CH: 77-82 mph. Firm wristed, down, below the zone. T2165, 1748 average rpm.

Casey Giemzik RHP / Brother Rice, IL / 2024

From 3/2/23: "...also touched 90 mph with a sturdy 6-foot-3 220-pound frame. His fastball plays down and heavy at the bottom with a sinking change (78-79 mph) and sweeping curveball (73-75 mph)."

Anthony Massa 3B / Lincoln-Way West , IL / 2024

From 6/20/23: "...Massa has a 6-foot-1, 200-pound frame with present strength and quick hands from the right side of the plate (26 mph avg), recording a max exit velocity of 93.1 mph and a max distance of 337’. Defensively, Massa’s hands worked easy, and he played through the ball, consistently making accurate throws."

Max Woodward RHP / Kaneland, IL / 2024

Wiry 6-foot-1, 160-pound athlete that showed notable pitch metrics at the ESP Scout Day on July 12th. Fastball played in the low-80s, up to 84 mph, and peaked at 2300+ RPM. Snapped off several noteworthy breaking balls at 70-74 mph that averaged 2615 RPM, peaking at 2767 RPM, with 15+ inches of horizontal movement at peak, too.

John Balla RHP / Hersey, IL / 2024

From 2/26/23: "...boasted some of the best spin on the entire day, routinely sitting in the 2,600-2,700 RPM range with his curveball, playing with downer 11/5 shape at 66-67 mph. His fastball plays up due to his high-level curveball spin, but it's already a quality offering on its own; sitting comfortably in the 82-84 mph range. His final offering was a straight change at 77-78 mph."

Tyler Cribbett 2B / Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley, IL / 2024

From 7/18/23: "...Cribbett favored the pull-side throughout his round of BP and elevated the baseball that way, repeating a short, simple, and direct swing as a result.

Kaden Meeker RHP / Harvest Christian, IL / 2024

From 5/4/23: "...Uncommitted. Listed at an ultra-projectable 6-foot-5, 195-pounds, high waist with room to add on strength. Slightly up-tempo delivery with a medium leg-swing into balance point, moves well down the mound while staying in-line, repeats somewhat well for size. Arm is clean and loose, playing from a high ¾ slot. His fastball worked in the 84-86 mph range, playing with some life and angle through the zone. He flashed a gradual 11/5 breaking ball at 64-65 mph to pair off the fastball. High-upside right-hander to know."

Peter Pipikios OF / Neuqua Valley, IL / 2024

From 4/27/23: "...Uncommitted. Compact, 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame with evenly distributed strength. Came out of the ‘pen and gave a brief but impressive look. The southpaw worked his fastball up to 83 mph to pair with a sharp breaking ball at 74 mph with sweep and a fading changeup at 75 mph. The left-handed hitter also showed well at the plate, finishing the day 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored. His swing is simple and has some rhythm, as he works with a flat and directional path to the ball with quick hands. Intriguing two-way prospect to make note of."

CJ Regillio 1B / Crystal Lake South, IL / 2024

From 6/27/23:

Positional Profile: 1B/OF
Body:
6-5, 206-pounds. Tall, filled in, projectable, proportioned.
Delivery:
Sidesaddle delivery, high leg lift, lands in-line with the plate.
Arm Action:
RH. Long, loose, with acceleration out front, 3/4 slot.
FB:
T82, 79-81 mph. Heavy, plays like a 4-seam. T1929, 1748 average rpm.
SPLT:
71-74 mph. Downer action, has feel for the zone.
ATH:
6.84 runner in the 60. 1.62 and 3.78 in the 10 and 30 yard splits.

Enrico Veach SS / Springfield, IL / 2024

From 2/27/23: "...was one of the top two-way guys of note on the day. Veach’s arm stood out without even looking at the radar gun, playing fluidly into release with noticeable looseness and ease (T80 mph). That same easy, loose arm played well on the mound, sitting an easy 82-85 mph but it was his high-spinning, tight curveball that turned heads. Veach featured arguably the best breaking ball of the day, playing with feel (75% strikes), all kinds of depth and spinning at an average of 2643, T2784. He rounded out his three-pitch mix with a mid-to-upper 70s changeup that was in the zone 60% of the time. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a fluid on-plane right-handed swing that gets extension through contact and registered a T93.2 mph exit velocity with a max batted ball of 330’."

Ben Carnahan RHP / Normal University, IL / 2024

From 2/27/23: "...is listed at an athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame. On the mound Carnahan had one of the better looks during our time in Peoria. Running his fastball up to 87.1 mph, its a pitch that plays with carry averaging 17.1’ of induced vertical break and gets on would-be opposing hitters quickly as it jumps out of the hand. Also showed a tight breaking slider with above average spin rates 2375 rpm (2461 max) that he consistently threw for strikes, and showed feel to throw his changeup for strikes."

Gavin Duran SS / Harvest Christian, IL / 2024

From 5/4/23: "...Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 119 in the state. Listed at a compact 5-foot-7, 175-pounds with round shoulders and a strong lower-half. Impressed at the plate with a fluid left-handed stroke, going the other way on a ball down and away from him and shooting it to the gap for a double. Quick first step out of the box, 7.06 60-runner in-event but speed looks to play up in-game. Defensively, he showed well at shortstop throughout the game with easy range and athletic actions. Foot speed transfers over to the infield allowing him to make plays to both sides of this glove with ease. Spark-plug type. Follow 2024."

Joey Guiliano SS / Plainfield North, IL / 2024

From 2/4/23: "...An infielder to watch, who saw time on varsity as a sophomore for Plainfield North...Defensively, Guiliano has fluid/athletic feet with a quick first step, moving well laterally to both sides of his glove. He secures the ball out front with a two-hand gather before moving into a loose/clean ¾ slot that topped at 83 mph across the diamond. At the plate, the right-handed hitter has a loose, quick swing with a pull-side approach. Guiliano also hopped on the mound and sat 83-84 mph, touching 85."

Lance Weitekamp 1B / Morrisonville, IL / 2024

From 7/18/23: "...Weitekamp offers more physical projection, standing at 6-foot-1, 185-pounds with lean strength. He backspun baseballs into the right-center gap from a level bat path, offering future intrigue from a power perspective as he continues to further fill out his frame."

Thomas Corley 1B / Bolingbrook, IL / 2024

From 5/8/23: "...Uncommitted. The right-handed hitter worked out of the three-hole for the Raiders and impressed throughout the day with quality at-bats. Fluid load keeps his weight in the center of his body, hands separate slightly at foot strike before firing through with an uphill path and loose barrel through the zone. Was consistently on the barrel all game, most impressively staying through a ball and driving it to the opposite field for a double. Bat looks to profile in the middle of the order at the next level, simple operation with easy power."

Destin Edwards OF / Kenwood Academy, IL / 2024

Was another prospect from the White Sox ACE Scout Day who continues to ascend on each look. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound, long, athletically-built Edwards is an above-average defender (as he showed at the Illinois State Games) plays with a bounce to his step and takes very confident routes to the ball. The 7.03 runner also showed off a big arm, topping at 92 mph with life. The right-handed hitter has angry intent when attacking the baseball, making hard contact, spraying line drives to all areas of the park. Edwards is a name to know moving forward in the 2024 class.

Riley Hendren OF / Normal Community , IL / 2024

From 7/18/23: "...has athleticism and projection attached to a 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame. Hendren ran a 6.79 60, reaching a peak speed of 20.3 mph with a 1.66 10-yard split. He showed athletic hands and a short swing that stayed on plane (80%) regularly in BP while spraying line drives to all fields. Hendren plays with pace in the outfield too, and his firmest bullet peaked at 84 mph to home."

Showed natural lateral break on a 69-73 mph curveball, averaged 2592 RPM, peaked at 2653 RPM, and reached 18.6 inches of horizontal movement at max. Limited spin on a 72-74 mph changeup, 1476 RPM.

Stephen Combs OF / Harvest Christian, IL / 2024

From 2/5/23: "...listed at an athletic 6-foot, 178-pounds with room for added strength. Combs started the day off by running a 7.00 in the 60-yard dash. He then followed up with a polished round of BP, flashing an aggressive left-handed swing path with an uphill approach and recorded a max exit velocity of 92.6 mph, with an average of 89.4 mph. Defensively, Combs worked out in the infield and from the outfield. He plays with steady hands, gets around the baseball on the infield and winds up through release. He topped at 83 mph across the infield and 81 mph from the outfield."

Jalen House OF / Downers Grove South, IL / 2024

From 2/25/23:

Jake Parpet C / Conant, IL / 2024

From 3/2/23: "...is an athletic, multi-positional prospect that ran a 6.91 60, was 77 mph from the crouch and registered pop times of 1.95-2.02. Offensively, the right-handed hitter has a relaxed hitterish look in the box while staying balanced and repeatable with a fluid, loose swing."

Michael Pasquesi RHP / Highland Park, IL / 2024

From 2/24/23: "...carries a large frame and arm at 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, and looks like there’s more in the tank. Pasquesi sat 85-87 with low effort that created some deceptive finish through the zone. Above average spin and action on his slider gives him two well above average offerings that should play well at the next level. Pasquesi also took a notable round of BP showing loose, strong hands, leverage to the pull-side and some sneaky jump off the barrel."

Devan Tupper RHP / Normal University, IL / 2024

Highly athletic 6-foot-3, 175-pounds. Bumped his fastball up to 89 mph this summer at Creekside, pitching at 86-88 mph with run/sink from a fast, free-flowing high 3/4 arm. Conviction in a power curveball, 78-81 mph, downer spin with swing-and-miss upside. A high-ceiling follow that's still uncommitted.

David Wick 3B / Plainfield North, IL / 2024

From 2/24/23: "...caught our eye last summer at the Illinois Summer Championships in Rantoul and backed it up at the Lockport Preseason ID. The left-handed hitting multi-positional prospect has a lean, athletic, 5-foot-11, 160-pound, with plenty of room for added strength. He stays compact and through the hitting zone a long time with loose, strong hands while creating leverage to the pull-side. The 7.05 runner finished with one of the top average bat speeds of the day at 72.6 mph. Also topped at 82 mph from the outfield. Solid PBR debut for the uncommitted junior."

Joe Dolenga SS / Stevenson, IL / 2024

From 3/2/23: "...did not work out defensively on this day but he deserved noting with his BP and 6.92 60 time alone. Dolenga packs strength in his 5-foot-11, 165-pound frame and uses it in the box, delivering intentful, strong swings while staying on the barrel for elevated contact with a peak exit velocity of 95.5 mph and max batted ball of 372’."

CH: 77-78 mph. Sinking action. T2007, 1847 average rpm.

Nick Jukovich RHP / Glenbrook North, IL / 2024

6-foot-3, 210-pound physically built athlete that looks the part in a uniform. Was up to 85 mph at the PBR National Championship on July 19th, with feel to land a downer curveball for strikes at 67-70 mph.

Dasaan Lee C / Thornwood, IL / 2024

From 2/24/23: "...was all over the barrel with authority during his round of BP resulting in a 90.3 mph average exit velocity, good for third at the event. Lee stays quiet and balanced throughout with strong hands, present bat speed and a mature middle of the field approach. Lee showed off a strong arm from behind the plate, reaching up to 77 mph from the chute with a quick clean transfer, reaching as low as 2.09 for his pop-time.
