Season Outlook

Georgetown Prep secured their 4th consecutive IAC title in 2023, and all signs point to the Hoyas being the team to beat once again as we enter the 2024 spring season. The roster is undeniably loaded with talent on both sides of the ball and the depth allows a plethora of options for coach Begin to turn to again this year.

Senior and 2023 IAC Player of the Year Aiden Dubetsky looks to lead the pitching staff, coming off of a stellar junior campaign where he worked to a 0.57 ERA. Fellow senior Raymond Huke impressed last spring, and following a breakout summer/fall should see the Columbia University commit at the top of the rotation as well. Look for depth to be provided by senior lefty Jaden Ovalles and junior Power 5 commits Andrew Duncan and Austin Weiss.

The offense will look slightly different for the Hoyas in 2024, as the middle of the order mainstays Antonio Perrotta and Tommy Roldan have graduated and moved on to the University of Virginia. Look for seniors Ryan Maxey and Sam Weinstein to fill that void in the heart of the lineup behind CJ Chatterton, a proven table-setter at the top. Seniors Aiden Dubetsky and Jaxson Wood, along with juniors Patrick Colbert, Andrew Duncan, Will Twomey and Austin Weiss are all talented bats that will serve big roles throughout the lineup as well.

Season Outlook

Landon has a new man in charge as we turn to 2024, as Henry Martinez takes over as head coach. A talented roster with depth, coach Martinez should have plenty to be excited about as he navigates his first year at the helm of the Bears. Look for a breakout year for one of the top arms in the state, as Sam Rosand looks to build off of an already successful high school career.

The pitching staff will be led by a highly talented one-two punch in senior James Pedas and junior Sam Rosand. The leadership provided by these two should pay huge dividends to what is shaping up to be an intriguing underclassmen group, as sophomores James Gibson, Leo Rosand and Bo White are poised to make a huge impact on the bump this spring.

Offensively, the Bears will lean on senior Jay Adams and junior George Lee to bring some thump to the middle of the order, with a plethora of depth provided throughout. Talented and experienced juniors in Frederic Malek and Ben Pollack, along with senior Davis Recker will be relied on heavily throughout the lineup and provide stability behind Adams and Lee. Sophomore James Gibson was a breakout player in 2023, and fellow sophomores Joshua Burstein, Zachary Burstein and Bo White look to follow suit in 2024.

Sam Moseman (2024) - New York University

Season Outlook

Bullis turns the page to 2024 with a new look, as Jarrett Hood takes the helm as the head coach and looks to turn around a program that has struggled to find consistent success over the past few years. Similar to last year, the Bulldogs roster is still fairly young, but should offer plenty of excitement due to the experience gained by the underclassmen in 2023. A program with a fresh start led by highly talented upperclassmen in senior Sam Moseman and junior Charlie Buckles, this may just be the year that we look back at as the turning point towards future success.
