What's New In The Top 10

Grady Lantz RHP / 3B / Urbana, OH / 2027

Report: Lantz put together a standout summer, capped by a breakout performance at the Future Games. The 6-foot-2, 187-pound right-hander from Urbana High School sat comfortably at 89–90 mph, touching 91.9, and made it look effortless against Kansas in Game 2 for Team Ohio at LakePoint. With that showing, Grady cements himself as one of the premier arms in the class, making the jump to the No. 3 prospect in the state.

Noah Milburn LHP / 1B / Lakota East, OH / 2027

Report: Milburn climbs to No. 8 in the state rankings following a gutsy Future Games outing and a strong overall summer. The left-hander brings a rare blend of pitchability, raw stuff, and competitive edge every time he takes the mound. Noah worked at 85-88 mph, topping at 88.9, and paired it with a sharp slider/changeup combo that missed bats and allowed him to command multiple quadrants of the zone in his appearance for Team Ohio.

Notable Newcomers

Blake Moore RHP / OF / Keystone High School, LaGrange, Ohio, OH / 2027

Report: Moore makes a big jump into the rankings, climbing to No. 35 in Ohio’s 2027 class after an eye-opening summer. The 6-foot-3 right-hander from Keystone High School already shows the ability to dominate lineups, working 85–89 mph with a developing curveball/slider mix. Still wiry with plenty of room to add strength, Moore screams upside, and his present ability to overwhelm high school hitters points to even bigger things ahead.

Bobby Berglund C / 1B / University School Hunting Valley, OH / 2027

Report: Berglund jumps onto the radar as one of the premier bats in Ohio’s 2027 class. The catcher from University School has done nothing but hit, turning in a summer just shy of .500 while playing up at the 17U level after hitting .430 as a sophomore on a state runner-up squad. A tough, competitive gamer with advanced feel in the box, Berglund continues to prove he can handle quality arms and produce at a high level.

Gavin Rhoads SS / RHP / Madison-Plains High School, OH / 2027

Report: Rhoads enters the rankings at No. 75 in Ohio’s 2027 class after showing off his athleticism and two-way ability this summer. The 5-foot-11 shortstop/right-hander is a true all-around prospect, running a 6.73 with exit velocities up to 92.4 mph at the plate. On the mound, he worked 84.9–86.7 mph at the Top Prospect Games with a curveball/slider combo that spun up to 2500 RPMs. A competitor who’s coachable and team-first, Rhoads checks all the boxes and brings intriguing upside as a two-way player.

Summer Showcase Standouts

Pierce Manson RHP / Zane Trace High School, OH / 2027

Report: Manson rises to No. 40 in Ohio’s 2027 class as a 6-foot-4 right-hander with big projection on the mound. He turned in an outstanding summer, logging 33 innings with just a 0.63 ERA and holding opponents to a .162 batting average. Allowing only 3 earned runs and 18 hits while striking out 40, Manson showed the ability to dominate lineups. With his long frame, present stuff, and room to refine the command (23 walks), the upside is massive moving forward.

A.J. Peluso SS / 2B / Saint Ignatius, OH / 2027

Report: Peluso jumps to No. 61 after a strong summer with T.O.P.S. A physical infielder with 6.72 speed, he impacts the game on both sides of the ball. Offensively, AJ shows a balanced, repeatable swing with the ability to drive the baseball to all fields, and he consistently finds the barrel against quality arms. His athleticism and physicality give him a chance to be a middle-of-the-order bat while also offering defensive versatility in the infield.

Dashel Hemlick RHP / 3B / Archbishop Hoban, OH / 2027

Report: Rising to No. 71 in Ohio’s 2027 class, he proved himself as a workhorse this year with Hoban and Release, piling up 71.1 innings and 72 strikeouts. The fastball already touches 88 mph, and when paired with a biting slider that consistently misses bats, he’s quickly becoming one of the more uncomfortable matchups for hitters in the class.

Prospects To Look At This Fall

Jackson Schilling C / 3B / Butler, OH / 2027

Report: Schilling has established himself as one of the premier backstops in the state, and it feels like only a matter of time before he’s off the board. The Butler product is advanced defensively with plus catch-and-throw skills that control the run game and give pitchers confidence. Offensively, his bat continues to make strides with a compact stroke and emerging power that points to significant upside. Already drawing plenty of Division I interest, Schilling is a must-see for coaches this fall.

Ryan Murphy RHP / 1B / Oak Hills, OH / 2027

Report: Murphy is one of the more intriguing projection arms in the class, standing 6-foot-6, 170 pounds with plenty of room to add strength. The Oak Hills right-hander was up to 86 mph at Top Prospect Games and shows advanced pitchability for his age, consistently attacking the zone and mixing his arsenal. With his frame, feel, and present stuff, Murphy has already drawn Division I interest, and the ceiling suggests even more is on the way.

Aidan Mcmillan OF / RHP / Wooster, OH / 2027

Report: McMillan turned plenty of heads this year with his ability to impact the baseball and consistently produce in big spots. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound outfielder posted a .365 spring for Wooster before hitting .373 this summer with NMC, launching six home runs along the way. With exit velocities climbing north of 102 mph and a 6.9 run tool, McMillan brings an exciting mix of power and athleticism that plays in multiple ways. A gamer who’s proven he can perform against quality arms, he’s a name coaches will want to lock in on this fall.
