As we head deeper into the fall, more and more of the 2027 class is starting to commit to play at the next level. Let's take a look at some of the top uncommitted players in the class. Today, we are starting by taking a look at the top 10 uncommitted right-handed pitchers. This list is full of impact arms that are looking for a home.

2027 Top 10 Uncommitted: RHP

Trevor McClure SS / RHP / Mount Vernon, IL / 2027

From 8/06/24: “INF/RHP Trevor McClure (Mount Vernon) is an ultra athletic prospect with plenty more strength to come, standing in a 6-foot, 167-pound frame. His tools are intriguing, highlighting why he’s one of the top prospects in the state’s 2027 class. On the mound, McClure showed athletic movements and confidence to throw strikes with his entire repertoire. He displayed an upper-80s fastball with sink and quality spin. McClure frequently turned to a sharp 12/6 curveball that was up to 2576 rpm, and a slider with equally impressive spin (2329 avg. rpm), sitting 76-78 mph. He rounded out his arsenal with a change-up that played with mostly straight actions. At the plate, the right-handed hitter showed a simple, repeatable swing that was paired with a loose, level path and an up-the-middle-to-pull side approach. He finished the week 3-for-6 with a double, two runs, two walks and two stolen bases. A 6.94 runner, McClure’s athleticism translated to his defense, as he showed deliberate footwork and a strong arm that topped at 89 mph across the diamond during the showcase.”

Cullen Schwigen RHP / OF / Rockridge, IL / 2027

From 6/26/25: “FROM 2025 FUTURE GAMES: OF Cullen Schwigen (Rockridge) is yet another two-way to follow this week as the No. 10 player in Illinois, and he looked the part in the positional workout. A high-level QB1 on the gridiron, Schwigen has a physical and lean frame standing at 6-foot-2, 195-pounds. He has a strong right-handed swing with a compact stroke, creating easy jump off the barrel with a peak EV of 99.4 mph - averaging 75.7 mph for his bat-speed. He moves well for his size with a 6.94 in the 60, and he has a well above-average arm (T91 mph OF) to pair. PITCHING: Schwigen struck out four over his two innings of work, going to a FB/CB mix. The fastball played 86-88 mph, topping out at 89 mph with some life up in the zone. The curveball showed bite with an 11/5 shape, 71-73 mph, depth and two-plane break. He’s an easy, athletic mover with a quick arm and simple delivery, should continue to make jumps.”

Mason Rychetsky RHP / 3B / Kennedy, IL / 2027

From 6/26/25: “FROM 2025 FUTURE GAMES: RHP Mason Rychetsky (Kennedy) started things off for us on the mound in game three, showing a three-pitch mix with some life in the arm. He’s a controlled mover with a coiled balance point and high leg-lift, working with a longer stride in-line down the mound. He has a higher front side that helps hide the ball a bit, and his arm action is shorter out of the glove into a lower ¾ release. The fastball played in the 87-90 mph range with jump out of the hand and life. His curveball has putaway potential with sharp 11/5 shape and depth, 72-74 mph. Flashed a straight changeup at 76 mph.”

From 8/05/25: “+ RHP Colin Doyle (Downers Grove North, 2026) is an imposing, long-limbed, 6-foot-7, 215-pound frame, and he showed why he has one of the highest ceilings in the 2026 class. The right-hander on the mound is a loose, easy mover, working on a line with a drop and drive motion. The arm works loose and quick, with full-circle arm action from a lower ¾ slot. Showcasing a three-pitch mix, the fastball was sitting 86-88 mph, easy out of the hand, with 18.6 IVB and slight cut with 4.8 inches of horizontal movement. The slider was 72-74 mph, a gyro profile with 2400 RPMs. The changeup was 80-81 mph with arm-side run, dropping of from the fastball. In-game, Doyle showed some command struggles, but was able to find himself deeper into his outing, pounding the zone with fastballs.”

Mason Bruesch OF / RHP / Geneva, IL / 2027

From 6/26/25: “FROM 2025 FUTURE GAMES: RHP Mason Bruesch (Geneva) is an uncomfortable at-bat for opposing hitters, working from a lower, sidearm release and some cross-fire in the delivery. His fastball plays with natural sink, 83-85 mph and topping at 87 mph. Slider showed shorter frisbee action around 71-73 mph, and he also flashed a changeup at 80 mph with a similar profile to the fastball. Fired two shutout innings with just one hit allowed, striking out three.”

Austin Winge RHP / OF / Lockport, IL / 2027

From 6/26/25: “FROM 2025 FUTURE GAMES: RHP Austin Winge (Lockport) showed his fastball and curveball during his outing on Saturday, and both offerings proved to be effective. The righty worked in a fastball ranging from 86-89 mph with some arm-side run through the zone. Pairing off the fastball, he showed a mid-70s curveball that played with 12/6 bite and feel for the zone. He also flashed a low-80s changeup with some killed spin at only 1439 rpm. Winge struck out three batters in only two innings of work, allowing a hit, two walks, and an earned run on Saturday.”

From 8/05/25: “+ RHP Charley Spour (St. Anthony, 2027) is a must-know right-handed pitcher in the 2027 class who continues to show well. Spour punched out three in just over an inning of action. A long-levered 6-foot-3, 188-pound frame with more room to fill out. Athletic mover who operates only out of the stretch, starting slightly closed off with a high leg lift into a directional, tall-and-fall delivery. Long, loose arm-action out of a ¾ slot. Utilized a quality two pitch mix. Fastball sat 88-90 mph topping out at 91.1 mph with life out of the hand. Slider sat 76-79 mph with sweep.”

Cooper Holman RHP / 1B / Wilmington, IL / 2027

From 8/05/25: “+ RHP Cooper Holman (Wilmington, 2026) had one of the top pitching performances of the event as he struck out five of the six batters that he faced through his two innings of work. Strong 6-foot-3, 205-pound frame. The right-hander operates from an easy, controlled delivery with a high leg lift. Long, loose arm action from a ¾ arm slot. Holman’s fastball sat 84-87 mph while topping out at 88.8 mph. He mixed in a sharp slider that sat 69-72 mph. Holman also showed a changeup that sat 75-78 mph with fade.”

From 3/06/25: “OF/RHP Noah Hallahan (Geneva, 2027) stands out physically at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds, and he had a loud showing on both sides of the ball. At the plate, the right-handed hitter creates some length through the zone with a flatter path and strength at impact, working hard on the barrel with a peak EV of 99 mph, averaging 92 mph while staying mostly pull-side with some lift at times. Hallahan gave a dynamic look on defense as well, showing quick feet, a reliable one-hand gather off his front foot while also showing range going back for fly balls. He also tied for the strongest arm for the event, reaching 90 mph from the crow-hop. On the mound, Hallahan displayed a long and loose arm action with a fastball up to 87 mph, sitting mostly in the mid-80s.
