Brian Ward, 1B/RHP, 2028, Union Grove
Uncommitted. The ball was simply exploding off the bat of Ward in an effortless round of BP. Boasts huge strength throughout the ultra-physical 6-foot-1, 220-pound frame. Stays extremely simple with excellent body control and minimal wasted effort from a potent RH cut. Easy leverage through the zone stands out with real strength in the lower half and impact in the barrel to match. Sprayed the ball to both gaps with authority and created significant carry especially to the pull-side. Max EV of 98.9. Ward also showed well on the mound as well. Fastball lived in the low 80s (T84 MPH) and worked in two distinct breaking balls in the upper 60s that create good depth.

Hamilton Downs, 3B/OF/RHP, 2027, McCallie
Uncommitted. It was an impressive all-around showing for the Junior two-way Saturday morning. Downs opened BP and showed a potent thump in the barrel with one of the loudest rounds as he produced a Max EV of 99.7. Displays great leverage through the zone backed by explosive hands and big-time strength throughout the 5-foot-11, 205-pound frame. Stout lower half stands out and generates a ton of strength from the ground-up with huge impact in the barrel to match. Downs showed excellent positional flexibility across the diamond as he posted one of the top IF velos (84 MPH) along with the top OF velo (88 MPH). On the mound the RHP showed a good feel for the 3-pitch mix. Fastball sat 81-83 and played up with ride through the zone. CB created depth at 69-71 and CH tunnels well off the FB 75-78 with late-fade. It’s a high floor profile for Downs with some projection remaining and a huge junior season looks to be in the cards.

Andrew Nixon Jr, SS/C, 2029, Harrison
Andrew Nixon Jr. shows a well-rounded tool set for his age, highlighted by advanced barrel control and a compact, efficient swing. At the plate, he works from a balanced base with a clean, direct path, allowing him to consistently find the barrel and produce line-drive contact to all fields. His current power is more gap-to-gap oriented, but with clear room for future strength and bat-speed gains as his frame continues to mature. He moves well athletically, showing solid run ability and fluid actions that translate both offensively and defensively. His overall hitting approach, swing repeatability, and ability to adjust to pitch location are his most standout tools.

Ethan Rasper, 1B, 2027, Cambridge
Uncommitted. Rasper brings a strong and projectable tool set to the field, showing advanced athleticism and natural feel for the game. At the plate, he works with a smooth, controlled swing that stays inside the baseball well, allowing him to produce consistent line-drive contact and drive the ball to the gaps. His hands are quick, and his barrel control stands out, giving him the ability to adjust late and compete against better pitching. As he continues to add strength, his current gap power has the potential to develop into more true extra-base impact. Rasper’s blend of athleticism, feel, and projection gives him a high ceiling and plenty of developmental upside.

Jacob Jones, 2B, 2028, Alexander
Uncommitted. Jones shows a promising foundation of tools with clear room to keep climbing. In the box, he hits from a steady base and shows quick hands that allow the barrel to get to the ball on time. His swing stays direct and efficient, producing firm contact with a focus on driving the ball up the middle. He already shows good feel for timing, which helps him compete well in at-bats beyond his age group. As he continues to get stronger, the solid contact he makes now should naturally turn into more extra-base carry. Jones has a clean skill set, athletic growth ahead, and his game projects to rise as his physical strength continues to come in.

Luke Hutchinson, OF/RHP, 2027, Harrison
Uncommitted. An outstanding day on the diamond for the junior two-way standout. Hutchinson impressed during BP, consistently driving balls gap-to-gap with a direct, level swing path. He displayed real composure in the box, maintaining a strong upper/lower half connection through his swings with clear intent to do damage. A fluid mover on the dirt, Hutchinson shows dynamic actions and sure hands, fielding cleanly from both sides of his body. On the mound, the 6-foot-1 right-hander displayed strong pitchability and projectable stuff. His fastball sat in the mid-80s, touching 86.6 mph, complemented by a deceptive upper-70s changeup and a late-breaking slider. Hutchinson will be an exciting follow over the next 12 months and is poised to be a key anchor for Harrison on both sides of the ball.

Andrew Kelley, MIF, 2027, North Cobb Christian
Uncommitted. Andrew offers a fun offensive profile when on the field. At the plate, Kelley features a quiet, composed load that transitions into explosive bat speed and a level path through the zone, producing a peak exit velocity of 94.2 mph. He maintains excellent balance and stays centered throughout his move, using a subtle toe-tap to control timing and stay consistently on time with contact. In the infield, Kelley shows really dynamic actions in both middle-infield positions. An athletic mover when getting the baseball, he can get rid of the baseball quickly and doesn’t let the game speed up on him. A lot to like here with Andrew Kelley, poised for a standout junior campaign with the Eagles.

Jermaine Sanders Jr., UT, 2028, Eastside
Uncommitted. Jermaine continues to impress and draw eyes each time he takes the field. He stood out with the bat, working from an open setup and using a controlled leg kick to get balanced through contact. His short, direct swing and appealing hand speed allowed him to consistently find the barrel and drive the baseball to all parts of the field. Defensively, he showed strong instincts behind the plate with solid arm strength and quick transfers. In the outfield, Jermaine took efficient routes and kept throws on a line to their targets. He’ll be an intriguing follow over the coming summers and soon be on collegiate radars as he continues his development heading into his sophomore season with Eastside.

Arvis Croll, UT/RHP, 2027, Luella
Uncommitted. A standout performance both on the mound and at the plate for Arvis Croll. Offensively, he shows natural instincts to drive the baseball with intent, working from a loose, rhythmic setup and using a controlled leg kick to generate power. His quick, twitchy hands and strong bat-to-ball skills allow him to produce consistent contact, both on a line and in the air. Behind the plate, Croll impressed with good arm strength and quick actions out of the crouch. In the infield, he moves athletically with clean footwork, showing the ability to field from both the forehand and backhand sides with a fast release. On the mound, his fastball sat in the low 80s with run and ride characteristics, complemented by a sharp mid-70s slider and a fading changeup at a similar velocity. Croll is a true all-around ballplayer who can impact the game in multiple ways and will be a valuable addition to any collegiate recruiting class.
