Hunter Martin
Tennessee Scouting Director

KNOXVILLE, TN — The East Tennessee Fall Games - Session I was held at the University of Tennessee on Saturday, October 25th that featured top talent from the 2026-2029 classes. Players went through a pro-style workout with TrackMan, Blast Motion, and VALD Performance tech, while pitchers threw in a game play setting and were able to get data and metrics on our TrackMan unit.

Some prospects built on past showings, while others made strong first impressions.

We continue our post-event coverage with a look at some of the top performers from the event, with more breakdowns and full scouting reports coming soon.

QUICK HITS

Barret Gates C / Goodpasture Christian, TN / 2029

In terms of a game manager behind the plate and a leader on the field, there's not many that rival Barret Gates. Gator’s excellent leadership qualities and intention to pick up his teammates complements his exceptional play. With a pop time ranging from 1.84-1.95 seconds and a 77-78 MPH velocity behind the dish, Gates emerges as a premier defender in the 2029 class. His velocity numbers show early signs of further development with an 87 MPH infield velocity to complement his elite arm as the signal caller. His twitchy swing displays his ability to quickly identify pitches and send them a long way. At this weekend's East Tennessee Fall Games, he displayed this by hitting his second farthest distance max at 322 ft. The Junior Future Games Champion proved how he was able to help lead the Tennessee JFG team to an undefeated run.

Fisher Green SS / RHP / Halls, TN / 2028

Fisher’s ability to channel his intensity on the field into an elite two-way threat is the highlight of watching him play. The ‘28 SS/RHP displayed elite velocity and spin rate numbers on all of his pitches at the East Tennessee Fall games. His fastball topped out at 89.4 MPH and had an average spin rate around 2250 RPM. All of Fisher’s tools complement each other. His pitching velocity numbers transferred easily into his infield defense with an infield velocity in the high 80’s. In the same way his defense and pitching skills work off of each other, Fisher’s speed allows him to extend his consistent hard liners into extra base hits. His 7.03 second 60 Yard Dash time and his ability to hit balls hard at 90+ MPH turns him into an OBP king. Excited to see how the JFG ‘24 alum’s two-way playstyle will translate as his career evolves.

Parker Tompkins SS / 2B / Fred J Page, TN / 2028

Parker Tompkins balled out in his first PBTN showcase of 2025. The most impressive portion of his workout was his BP round where he showed how he can hit for power consistently. Its easy to see that Tompkins has put in work in the last year; putting on ten pounds and significantly improving his swing. He maxed out at 93.5 MPH exit velocity while having an average exit velo of 86 MPH. Parker excels at barrelling the baseball and putting the ball in the gap with a hard hit rate of 18%. Not only has he improved offensively, but his defense has significantly improved as well. He was up to 89 MPH in the infield at the Fall Games. Parker Tompkin’s development will be one of the most interesting stories going into 2026.

Reid Olivier RHP / 1B / Siegel, TN / 2029

The JFG 2025 Champion baffles opposing hitters with his hammer curve and sharp slider. Olivier spins his breaking balls with ease with his curveball and slider staying in the 2500+ RPM range respectively. Both pitches had incredible movement as well with the curveball averaging 18.1 “ of break and the slider at 17”. The Siegel ace also showed that he's been working on increasing the speed of the slider with it topping out at 73.5 MPH. Every pitch that Reid throws works very well off of each other. When the breaking stuff doesn’t get a swing and miss, he dots the fastball on the corners to freeze hitters (topping out at 87.3 MPH). Reid has the stuff to be an ace of the Siegel staff and the Nashville Knights for the foreseeable future.

Tommy Travers SS / 3B / Franklin Road Academy, TN / 2028

Tommy is a well-rounded ballplayer that displays reliable play on every front. He is sound in his swing mechanics and has a smooth path to the baseball. He displays power to all fields and gets some good loft on his swing, collecting a base hit going the other way in the process. Tommy displays above average defense with early signs of good arm talent with an infield velo of 86 MPH. His smooth actions up the middle make it easy for him to make tough plays in critical moments. All of this along with his 7 second 60 Yard Dash time makes him a reliable player to have on the roster.

Gabe Paschal OF / SS / The Enswoth School, TN / 2027

Explosiveness is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about Gabe Paschal. I’ve seen him twice within the past three weeks and each time he displayed strong, athletic actions in everything he does. As a 6.9 second 60 Yard Dash runner, the Ensworth outfielder comes out of the gate with an athletic presence. At the plate, he has quick hands that explode on the baseball which is why he hit a 97 MPH exit velo at the East Tennessee Fall Games. His focus at the plate is to hit consistent hard contact to the center-pull side of the field. He also shows great value as a defender with solid defense and a good arm with an 86 MPH OF Velo. Look for Paschal to be in the conversation as a decent power bat in the future.

Connor York SS / RHP / Knoxville Catholic, TN / 2028

Arguably the overall winner of the East TN Fall Games Showcase, Connor York stayed in the top 10 of almost every stat over the weekend. Most notably, the Knoxville Catholic shortstop showed off the arm by logging the fastest infield velocity during the event at 92 MPH. In his first Prep Baseball event this year, Connor walked in and tore the house down at the plate. He made consistent hard contact on every pitch and hit an exit velocity of 96 MPH. His speed also helps him to extend base hits into doubles and be quick on defense with a 6.89 second 60 Yard Dash Time. York can also work out of the bullpen in tough spots with exceptional movement on his slider (18” break). York is a solid all around player that provides significant value to any lineup.

Joseph Mosley OF / RHP / Hendersonville, TN / 2028

Joseph has really proven himself as an exceptional athlete in 2025. The Hendersonville athlete displays quick, athletic actions with explosive results. At the plate, his hands move quickly through the zone and generate extra batspeed. This is how he was able to log a 97 MPH max exit velo and send a ball over 360 ft. at the Fall Games. Anytime Mosley steps in the box, the defense should play at the warning track. Even on the defensive side, Joseph shows a quick release that helped him log the third highest outfield velocity of the day at 91 MPH. Finally, his 6.81 second 60 Yard Dash time shows how he can translate his athleticism to reactive defense and stolen bases. One of the overall winners of the weekend hands down.

Reid Bostic SS / RHP / Lipscomb Academy, TN / 2028

Bostic is a physical presence everywhere he plays. In all aspects of play, he lights up the radar gun and is out to prove he is the best player on the diamond. His muscular frame allows him to generate raw power in everything that he does. The Lipscomb Academy shortstop showed he belongs at the position with an infield velocity of 91 MPH. Reid has the potential to be an absolute menace at the plate with a max average exit velo of 98 MPH and one of the most violent swings I’ve seen in awhile. He also shows potential as a two-way players with early signs of developing stuff on the mound. Reid’s strength is the fastball that sits in the low to mid 80’s with a 2150-2250 RPM. With further development of his mechanical base, Reid should be able to maintain the natural power in his game.

Branson Dean 3B / RHP / Lenoir City, TN / 2027

Dean shows an athletic, long-levered frame with plenty of projection remaining. Offensively, he flashes raw power with a direct swing path, and high finish while his hands show some drift, he generates elite rotational acceleration that allows him to produce consistent true backspin to all fields. There’s present power to the pull side and signs of future impact as he continues to sync up his lower half and hand load. His 22 max hand speed translates to strong bat speed through the zone, creating loud contact when timed up. Defensively, Dean is a twitchy and athletic mover, showing fluid actions, a controlled transfer, and quality range particularly impressive to his backhand side. As his game continues to polish, Dean projects as a high-upside athlete with a strong foundation of tools on both sides of the ball.

Samuel Godbout SS / 3B / Baylor, TN / 2027

Godbout stands out with a strong 6’2, 182-pound frame, showing both strength and athleticism with plenty of room to grow into his XL frame. Shows quality footspeed being  a 6.86 runner with a 3.81 30-yard split, showcasing impressive quickness and burst that translates well to both sides of the ball. Offensively, Godbout displays raw power in BP, driving balls gap to gap with a blend of impact strength and consistent contact ability. His bat-to-ball skills and above-average zone recognition allow him to compete in-game and find barrels regularly. Hudson carved up hitters at the East Tennessee Fall games with his hard breaking slider that topped out at 76.6 MPH and 2559 RPM. The Heritage pitcher spins his slider very well and disguises it well by throwing it out of the same slot as his fastball which topped out at 88.4 MPH and 2294 RPM. His development at the plate also reached new heights this weekend as he reached a max exit velo of 93.4 MPH and a max distance of 349 ft..
