As the summer of 2025 comes to a close, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff took a moment to reflect on a busy and exciting slate of events across the state.

Over three months, we saw standout talent from every part of Illinois, and now we’re diving into the numbers to spotlight the top statistical performers from our summer events. From explosive arms to big-time bats, this summer had it all, and the data backs it up.

Today, we break down the top max catcher velocities from the summer showcase circuit. This leaderboard includes stats from our Summer IDs as well as our annual Illinois State Games.
