Gabriel Kuerzi RHP / 1B / North Oldham High School, KY / 2027Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 12
Kicking off the list today is 2027 Gabriel Kuerzi, ranked No. 32 overall and the No. 12 right-handed pitcher in Kentucky’s 2027 class. The lean 6’0”, 161 lb righty works from a high three-quarter arm slot with a tight, compact arm action, continuing to trend upward after an impressive 2025 campaign. High upside from the young righty as Kuerzi posts FB spin rates nearing 2400 rpm and even flashed the heater up to 90 mph back in February. He generates big swing-and-miss potential, pairing his fastball with a high-spin secondary offering that’s topped over 2500 rpm. If he can hone in the command and continue to develop the longevity, Kuerzi looks primed to play a key role on an uber talented North Oldham staff that could be poised for another breakout spring.

Jaxson Jett OF / Trinity High School, KY / 2027Rankings StateRank: 14 / POS: 3
Jett, ranked No. 14 overall and the No. 3 outfielder in the 2027 class, continues to build on his reputation as one of the state’s premier prospects. The 6’3”, 182 lb outfielder boasts a physical, athletic frame and was a standout performer at the 2025 Future Games showcase. A 6.7s runner in the 60-yard dash, Jett’s blend of size, speed, and strength gives him true dual impact potential in the field and at the plate. The multi-sport athlete from powerhouse Trinity High School has a developing frame that projects as a middle-of-the-order bat at any level. His metrics are off the charts — 26.8 mph hand speed, 79.5 mph bat speed, and 33.5 g rotational acceleration — translating to exit velocities up to 98 mph and a max distance of 354 feet. With his tools trending sharply upward, Jett is a big name to monitor, with draft attention possibly in the cards if he continues on his current trajectory. |

Cayton Lawhorn C / 3B / Campbellsville High School, KY / 2027Rankings StateRank: 64 / POS: 8
Up next is 2027 Cayton Lawhorn, ranked No. 64 overall and the No. 8 catcher in the class, bringing a compact yet physical 5’8”, 175 lb frame with advanced strength for his age. The young backstop turned heads at this year’s State Games, posting a sub-2.0 second pop time and showing the ability to control the game behind the plate. Offensively, Lawhorn flexes an aggressive right-handed swing built to do damage, producing a max batted-ball distance of 327 feet. With broad shoulders and physical upside still ahead, he’s poised to be a leader for a young Campbellsville roster and a key piece for one of the top programs in the 5th Region. If he continues to refine his pitch selection and limit swing-and-miss, Lawhorn could be in for a breakout offensive season this spring. |

Jasper Kemp RHP / OF / Adair County High School, KY / 2027Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 10
Kemp, ranked No. 25 overall and the No. 10 right-handed pitcher in the 2027 class, is a two-way standout with a strong 6’2”, 182 lb frame and plenty of projection ahead. A recent Future Games participant, the Adair County product displays a compact delivery into a strong extension down the mound with a quick, over-the-top arm action that generates consistent life through the zone. Expect the fastball to creep near the 90s this spring, pairing effectively with a trio of secondary pitches — both breaking balls and a changeup that all show heavy sink. Kemp’s ability to create swing-and-miss in the 5th Region has already set him apart, and with continued polish, he has the tools to compete at the next level on the mound while remaining a capable offensive threat in the lineup.
