On Tuesday, July 15th, the PB Texas staff traveled to Rice University in Houston, TX, to host the Houston Summer ID, an open event for all high school classes.

More than 20 players made their way to Rice and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

We've already posted a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting more of the traditional statistical categories, as well as a Takeaways, highlighting some of the events top performers, while also posting Data Dives for both Pitchers and Position Players.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every player in attendance as well as rank the top 5 from the event.

TOP OVERALL PROSPECTS

1. Milton Watkin, Ridge Point (TX), 2028
Positional Profile: OF/RHP OF/RHH with good build/frame. Avg run now, look for speed to increase. Arm works well, short compact arm action. Ability to throw on a line. Fields well with good footwork moving to and through baseball. Uses lower half well, back foot moves towards 3B, work to drive back foot towards the pitcher. Generates solid bat speed. With adjustments to swing can firm up contact ability. Solid swing to watch develop. RHP...Side step rocker with high leg lift. Lands closed over midline. Gets over front leg with a spinoff finish. Work to firm up front side keeping it strong, using it as leverage to prevent spiking pitches. FB has life, good spin. Plays well north and south. CV needs to firm up release, pulling glove side. Use think FB cue while throwing.
Body: 5-9, 175 pounds. Good build/frame to add strength to with future growth and maturity. Width to shoulders and back. Showing some strength. Good physical projections.
Hit: RHH. Avg stride, linear movement in back foot. Moves towards 3B, work to drive foot towards pitcher. Hits into a good firm front side. Good posture at contact. Good use of lower half. Hands/barrel in nice starting point to launch. Generates solid bat speed. Hands take direct path. Front half is working ahead of back half, work to keep it closed slightly longer. 66.8 mph bat speed with 16g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 93 mph max exit velocity (82.5 avg.); 330-foot max batted distance. Project solid bat/power combo. Solid bat speed, shows some quickness in hands. With adjustments can firm up contact ability.
Arm: RH. OF - 89 mph. Arm works well. Short, compact arm action. Avg arm speed. Ability to throw on a line.
Defense: Moves well. Feet work well, nice breakdown. Fields well out front off to the side.
Athletic Testing: 7.01 runner in the 60-yard dash; 28.70-inch max vertical jump. Solid start. Strides well with good arm swing. Smooth form overall. Avg run now, look for increase in speed.

Delivery: Side step rocker. High leg lift. Lead legs casts out down slope. Lands closed over midline. Gets over front side, spin off finish. Front side is weak at times, causing front half to work faster than back half, causing spikes with FB. Keep glove/front side strong down the mound.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm action. Developing arm speed. Solid layback in arm.
FB: T85, 83-85 mph. FB has life, with above avg spin. Works well north and south. Attacks zone. T2329, 2118 average rpm.
CB: 71-73 mph. Inconsistent release point. Pulling glove side. Think FB entire way. T2624, 2568 average rpm.
CH: 80-80 mph.
