Rising Stars on the Radar: 2028 1B/RHP Beckett Gaiski (Malvern Prep)

Nathan Goranson
Northeast Scout

Gaiski is quickly rising ranks as one of the Keystone State’s top two-way prospects. At 6 ‘2 and 195-pounds he is developing into a legitimate threat to break the game open at the plate and will shut down your best hitters at the plate.

On the mound, he has one of the strongest arms in the class of 2028. His fastball has peaked at 88.1 mph and consistently sits between 85 and 87 mph. The secondary pitch is a slider that is 74-76 mph and is spun at a ridiculous spin rate of 2,864 rpm. The pitch arsenal of an 88 mph fastball and an upper percentile 2,800 rpm slider makes for a very difficult combination for all hitters.

Offensively, Gaiski hits with a front foot hover to gather momentum and creates a rubber band effect with his advanced scap load. With a slight upward bat path, he produces impressive offensive metrics including an exit velocity 94.2 mph and a max distance of 345 feet. His bat speed and ability to rotate is also advanced for his grade, 77.3 mph bat speeds and 25.8g of rotational acceleration.

Overall, the development of Gaiski has produced very impressive results. He is slowly becoming one of the state’s most impactful hitters and pitchers. Look out for this Malvern Prep Friar this upcoming spring.
