The fall update provided a comprehensive snapshot of how players have progressed through another pivotal season of development and competition — and now, attention turns to the top uncommitted prospects in each class.

Across both the 2026 and 2027 groups, North Carolina continues to show its depth and balance of talent. The state’s player pool features athletic position players, projectable arms, and advanced hitters who remain available to college programs. Many of these players are on the cusp of significant recruitment momentum heading into the 2025 high school season.

The Prep Baseball NC scouting staff plays a vital role in shaping these rankings, with extensive in-person coverage across the state. Throughout the spring, summer, and fall, our scouts evaluate prospects at Prep Baseball events, organizational workouts, tournaments, showcases, practices, and live game action. This consistent on-field evaluation provides a clear, data-supported view of each player’s progression, competitiveness, and long-term potential.

In this series, we’ll break down the top uncommitted players by position from both the 2026 and 2027 classes — highlighting athletes who have already made a strong impression and are poised to draw even more attention in the coming months.

Stay tuned as we spotlight these standout players position by position, offering insights, video, and scouting notes from across North Carolina.
