Unsigned Senior Showcase: Preview
October 1, 2025
This Sunday, October 5th, the Prep Baseball Illinois team is hosting the Unsigned Senior Showcase at The Max in McCook, IL. This is an open event for the 2026 class, and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.
For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click here. For a complete look at those registered to attend this event, view the most up-to-date version of the roster by clicking here.
EVENT HISTORY
We've been hosting this event for the past 13 years, and it's consistently provided us a look at prominent uncommitted players throughout the state. Among the players in attendance at this event in 2024, there were 20 commitments among them.
We're looking forward to checking in on the next crop of talent from this event to earn next-level attention in the coming weeks, months, and years.
2025 ROSTER
This year's roster is already shaping up nicely, just like in years past.

Kamran Alikhan OF / Nazareth Academy, IL / 2026Rankings StateRank: 86 / POS: 13
From 4/23/25: “Uncommitted. Currently ranked No. 96 in the state. Athletic 5-foot-11, 178-pound frame with some present strength throughout. Batted fifth and played right field. Defensively, he is a smooth mover in the outfield with rangy actions to pair, while flashing a strong arm pre-game. A right-handed hitter, he worked on the barrel a couple times, tallying a loud double to left in his final at-bat of the game. He finished the day 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and a run scored. An uncommitted name for schools to continue to follow this spring.” |

Nicholas Rodriguez OF / RHP / South Elgin, IL / 2026From 6/03/25: “OF Nicholas Rodriguez (South Elgin, 2026) showed some of the most improved numbers compared to last year’s Top Tier Scout Day. Rodriguez is listed as an athletic 5-foot-9, 155-pound frame with room to add strength. The right-handed hitter operates a narrow, slightly open setup with a toe-tap trigger. Has an upward bat path with intent to lift the ball. Rodriguez had an average batted ball distance of 269 feet (365 ft. max) with an average exit velocity of 84.4 mph (97.1 mph max EV). The outfielder is a clean mover with fluid action while having a quick, short arm action and posting an 83 mph velocity from the outfield. Rodriguez showed off his athleticism as he ran a 6.91 60.” |
Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a Prep Baseball showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.
