California State Games: 2028 Infielder Analysis

Starting on July 30th, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the California State Games at Fullerton College and High School in Fullerton, Cal. This was an invite-only event for high school classes (2026-2029), and gave our staff an ample look at the state's top prospects.

Today, we will continue the release of the scouting reports from the event, now with the 2028 infielders:

TOP 2028 INFIELDERS

1. Milo Benattar, Sierra Canyon (CA), 2028
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP Projectable corner INF with present strength in upper half.
Body: 5-10, 184-pounds. Firm, sturdy frame.
Hit: RHH. Balanced, tall-postured stance. Back elbow flared towards catcher. Very slight bend in knees. Small inward leg kick stride. Loads in hands and upper half. Decent hip rotation. Even swing plane. 70.6 mph bat speed with 12g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 mph max exit velocity (81.4 avg.); 356-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 83 mph. Lower 3/4 arm slot. Quick, snappy release. Full wind-up thrower.
Defense: Utilizes upper half to field. Sturdy feet with decent range. Efficient transfer.
Athletic Testing: 7.45 runner in the 60-yard dash; 22.30-inch max vertical jump.
