Future Games Infielder Analysis: Team SoCal

From Wednesday, July 23 to Saturday, July 26th, Prep Baseball hosted the official 2025 Future Games. The best uncommitted talent from the Class of 2027 all met at LakePoint Sports on this day to ignite the start of this special event, as position players were guided through this pro-style workout in front of a sea of over 400 college coaches.
In this post, we’re looking at the scouting reports on every infielder from Team SoCal at this year’s 2025 Future Games.
TOP INFIELD PROSPECTS
1. Elyjah Mason, Huntington Beach High (CA), 2027
Positional Profile: 3B/SS LHH with a composed approach and fluid, natural defensive actions that can transition well to multiple positions.
Body: 6-2, 166-pounds. Uber athletic, well-proportioned frame with noticeable functional strength across the body.
Hit: LHH. Starts with a calm, low-effort gather into the back hip, maintaining balance and rhythm before initiating a short, efficient stride. Generates power through strong rotational drive, allowing the lower half to work in sync with the upper body. Barrel carries weight through the zone with a deliberate, extended path designed to create loft. Swing shows natural leverage and whip through contact, producing lift while still maintaining the ability to square up pitches with authority.
Power: 101 max exit velocity, averaged 85.2 mph. 360' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-82 mph. Arm works effortlessly, providing both carry and velocity on throws while maintaining balance and body control on plays to any base. Low three-quarter slot with a compact, efficient arm action.
Defense: Shows fluid, athletic actions with a relaxed, natural feel for the SS/3B position. Moves with confidence, using soft, sure hands to field the ball cleanly. Demonstrates quick, decisive reactions while maintaining balance, allowing for accurate and efficient transfers.
