Unsigned Senior Showcase: Quick Hits (9/23)

MESA, AZ — On Tuesday, September 23rd, the Prep Baseball Arizona staff hosted the Unsigned Senior Showcase at Arizona Athletic Grounds, bringing together uncommitted 2026 players from across the state.
Each participant received a Prep Baseball profile update featuring headshot, video, showcase statistics, and advanced data analysis. With profiles accessed by over 900 college programs nationwide, the event gave players meaningful exposure while also serving as an important evaluation ahead of the offseason.

Stephen Henderson RHP / 3B / Catalina Foothills, AZ / 2026Stephen showed one of the livelier arms at the event, working with a free, loose arm that produced carry through the zone. The long, lean frame projects well as he continues to add strength, and the ball jumps out of his hand with intent. His ability to create some deception in the delivery adds another layer to a profile that stood out on the mound. |

Adam Solak RHP / OF / American Leadership Academy - Queen Creek, AZ / 2026Adam stood out as one of the more well rounded athletes at the event, showing tools both on the mound and in the outfield. On the bump, he worked with a smooth, repeatable delivery and a fast arm that produced a lively fastball with natural cut. In the outfield, he showed twitch with clean footwork and a strong arm, while also flashing bat speed and the ability to drive the baseball with authority. A 6.58 runner who brings an impact to the field. |

Xavier Escontrias SS / RHP / Centennial, AZ / 2026Rankings StateRank: 67 / POS: 17
Xavier turned in one of the stronger all around showings of the event, standing out both in the infield and on the mound. At shortstop, he showed quick feet, clean actions, and the ability to make firm, accurate throws across the diamond. Offensively, he showed a calm, balanced approach with consistent barrel contact and gap to gap strength. On the mound, the athleticism carried over with a loose, whippy arm that produced a lively fastball and a sharp slider. A well rounded prospect with strength, coordination, and two-way upside. |

Rene Ruiz 3B / RHP / Desert Edge High School, AZ / 2026Rene brought a strong, physical presence to the event and showed impact ability on both sides of the ball. At the plate, his aggressive move into contact translated to loud pull side strength with one of the heavier barrels in the group. On the mound, he worked with an easy, loose arm from a 3/4 slot and showed feel for a full mix, with the fastball carrying through the zone. Rene's combination of physicality and two-way potential made him a clear standout. |

Charlie Gillispie LHP / OF / Arizona College Prep, AZ / 2026Charlie impressed with his easy actions on the mound, moving with control and showing a loose, deceptive arm that kept hitters off balance. The long, lean frame gives him plenty of room to add strength, and the ball comes out clean as he works downhill. A projectable left-hander who stood out with his poise and feel for a three pitch mix. |

Josue Javier-Martinez 1B / 3B / Sahuarita, AZ / 2026Josue made a statement with his imposing frame and big left-handed power at the plate. The swing works with aggression and rhythm, driving balls deep to the pull side gap while showing the ability to cover the whole field. His strength stands out immediately, and the bat has the kind of thump that profiles in the middle of an order. A physical presence who emerged as one of the more dangerous bats of the event. |

Greyson Bott OF / RHP / Notre Dame Prep, AZ / 2026Greyson's long, athletic frame and explosive actions quickly stood out, showing a blend of speed and power that projects well at the next level. The right-handed swing works aggressively with quick hands, producing loud contact to the gaps and showing flashes of big power potential. A 6.56 runner with strength still to come, Greyson's combination of size, athleticism, and offensive impact made him one of the more exciting prospects at the event. |

Zach Burghardt 2B / RHP / Hamilton, AZ / 2026Zach impressed with his athleticism and steady all around game, showing tools that play both in the infield and outfield. At the plate, he worked with a simple, direct path and a middle of the field approach, consistently finding the barrel with strength behind it. Defensively, he showed reliable actions and carry on his throws, while his 6.73 speed adds another layer to his profile. A well rounded player who continues to trend upward. |

Grady Poulsen SS / 3B / American Leadership Academy Gilbert North K-12, AZ / 2026Grady stood out with a strong, athletic frame and a polished skill set on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he showed a clean, direct path to the ball with consistent line drive contact to the gaps and the strength to do damage. Defensively, he moved with body control and quickness, staying low through the ball and showing the ability to make firm, accurate throws on the move. A steady performer who projects to keep adding physicality while maintaining athletic actions. |

Eli stood out with his compact, durable build and the strength he brings to the catcher position. Behind the dish, he showed quick feet, clean transfers, and consistent accuracy on his throws, turning in some of the better pop times of the event. Offensively, the switch-hitter flashed bat speed and power from both sides, producing loud contact when staying balanced through the swing. A strong all around showing from a physical backstop with impact potential. |

DIEGO ZAMORA 2B / SS / Peoria, AZ / 2026Diego showed off a well rounded game with athletic actions that stood out on both sides of the ball. At the plate, he worked with a direct, line drive stroke that produced consistent contact to the gaps while staying balanced throughout. Defensively, he played with control and quickness, showing the ability to make throws from multiple slots. His speed and twitchy actions give him a dynamic presence on the field, making him one of the more complete infielders at the event. |
