2025 Indiana Fall State Games Preview
October 7, 2025
The Indiana Fall State Games are quickly approaching and this years' talent is set to surpass an already tall mark set by the 2023-2025 editions. Strategically placed on the final week of the contact period for NCAA coaches, our staff has set the goal of attracting the top uncommitted talent in the state for this event - and we've done just that, especially for the rising juniors (2027). Currently, we have 44 of the top 250 ranked players in the 2027 class set to participate in this event, including 15 players ranked in the top 100. Nearly 20% of our uncommitted 27s in the T100 will be at this event.
Also, there will be plenty of quality uncommitted seniors in attendance for schools with a need in that class, still.
Read below to find a quick preview on some of the top-ranked players set to attend, with several others who will look to elevate their prospect status amongst their touted peers.

Lucas Collins RHP / 3B / Garrett High School, IN / 2027Rankings StateRank: 27 / POS: 9
+ 6-foot-1 right-hander with a unique, low-slot sling to the arm action. Pitches in the 87-90 range consistently and tops out in the low-90s; the slot induces devasting ASR/sink at times. Spins a mid-70s side-to-side breaking ball, upper-70s to low-80s change has made significant strides over the course of the past 6 months. |

Benjamin Schaeffer OF / Mt Vernon High School, IN / 2027Rankings StateRank: 32 / POS: 6
+ A late blooming left-handed hitter that is really beginning to take off - I love the swing and the twitch is beginning to follow suit. The bat to ball is real, and I've gotten 4.2 run times consistently with occasional 4.1s, suggesting that the feet could end up as a plus tool once he reaches full maturity. That tool keeps CF hopes alive, as well, and the arm is an above average tool for him. |

Jaylen Wells-Henderson RHP / New Albany Senior High School, IN / 2027Rankings StateRank: 36 / POS: 13
+ Wells-Henderson began to put things together towards the back-half of the summer and continued to follow that trend this fall. One of the youngest arms in our T50 currently - Jaylen reached up to 89 on the heater in the summer and fall while filling the zone at the solid clip that he always has. The 6-foot-2, athletic frame still holds room for growth and he will show a SL, CB, and CH that are all average to better offerings. |

Mark Neels OF / Carmel, IN / 2027Rankings StateRank: 37 / POS: 8
+ The best straight-line runner in this class (6.46 60), Neels has trended nicely over the past 12 months with some strength/speed upside showing at times. Hitting from the left-side with a tight, compact swing, there is at least an average ability to put bat to ball that gets amplified with loud natural twitch. The feet translate to range in center, where he has a real shot to stick. |

Paxton Lukac OF / RHP / Andrean, IN / 2027Rankings StateRank: 40 / POS: 9
+ Super intriguing two-way player with some of the loudest natural twitch amongst uncommitted 27s. Lukac's arm and feet are his best tools, making him easily a top 5 defensive outfielder in this class according to my evaluations to date. A 6.58 runner in June - Lukac couples the foot speed with big bat speed that works in a rotational fashion to produce near-triple digit exit velocities. The bat still holds room to polish, as does the operation on the bump, but the fastball will play with natural effort into the upper-80s with a 2700+ rpm slider to go with it. |

Jackson Graf OF / Noblesville High School, IN / 2027Rankings StateRank: 52 / POS: 12
+ Graf provides a coveted profile, a power-hitting lefty that stands at 6-foot-2, 180-pounds, with exits reaching 101-plus this summer to pair with a 6.87 60-yard dash. While the swing works with a one-plane nature at times, he controls his weight well in the forward move and there is some real bat speed that works in a loose-wristed, rotational fashion. Another prospect in this class that is super young for the grade, Graf feels like a helium candidate in the next 12 months that should garner looks at this event. |

Chase Nelson SS / Andrean, IN / 2027Rankings StateRank: 60 / POS: 11
+ A flat-out gamer that gets it done again & again - Nelson has been a mainstay in our T60 since the initial expansion of this list, primarily due to a hit tool that shows across almost every look. Nelson starred at this event as an underclassman and returns as one of the higher-regarded players for this years' event. Fundamental in everything that he does, Nelson's swing works on-plane with a quality blend of aggressiveness and balance throughout. Defensively, the actions are solid - especially with the ball between his feet, and he pairs a mid-80s infield arm across. |
