Quick Hits: 2025 Southwest Louisiana Fall ID
October 14, 2025
Moss Bluff, LA - On October 12, 2025, the Prep Baseball Louisiana staff traveled to Sam Houston High School to host our first open event of the fall with our Southwest Louisiana Fall ID, which featured players in the state's 2026-2029 classes. Each participant went through a pro-style workout that consisted of running a laser-timed 60 yard dash using Vald Performance, defensive evaluations, and batting practice using Trackman Baseball and Blast Motion. Each pitcher threw a bullpen with Trackman Baseball running to receive all of their pitching data and metrics. Below, we take a look at some of the top performers from Sunday's event.

Brody Trahan SS / C / Sulphur, LA / 20285-10, 155-pound lean and wiry frame with more strength to come as he fills out and matures. Trahan had one of the best overall days at Sunday's event. A switch-hitter, he swung it well from both sides of the plate, showing an easy and fluid path with a gap-to-gap approach and exit velocities up to 91.2 mph. The Sulphur product really impressed behind the dish. He flashed solid receiving skills and blocked the ball extremely well. Trahan is a good athlete too, as evidenced by his 6.92 laser-timed 60 yard dash. He'll be a close follow for us this spring.

Ory Titus RHP / 1B / Jewel M. Sumner High School, LA / 2027Physical 6-2, 185-pound frame. The Jewel Sumner product showed some intriguing stuff on the mound on Sunday. Titus used a quick and whippy arm action to release the ball from a near over-the-top slot with an average release height of 6'4". His fastball flashed riding life through the zone with an average induced vertical break of 19.1". He paired that with pretty good feel for spin with both a curveball and slider that spun up to 2573 rpm's. His fourth pitch was a spin-killing splitter with sub 1,000 rpm's.

Collin Sanders RHP / SS / Jewel M. Sumner High School, LA / 20265-10, 140-pound lean and athletic frame with a ton of room to add strength. Sanders posted the top laser-timed 60 on Sunday at a 6.88 and showed solid defenisve skills on the infield. On the mound, however, is where his highest upside likely lies. The right-hander worked through an athletic & repeatable delivery, and filled the zone up with a four-pitch mix that was headlined by an 82-85 mph fastball. He commanded both his four-seam and two-seam heater well with the four-seam playing best to the glove-side. His low-70's curveball and slider had similar shapes and he showed the ability to land them both for strikes, as well as his low-70's split-change.

Kannon Keiser SS / RHP / Sam Houston, LA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 3
The Sam Houston played a part in the Broncos run to a State Title last spring and he'll be relied upon even more this coming season, as he's competing for an everyday role on the infield as a sophomore. Keiser is an advanced defender with athletic actions coupled with soft hands and a clean glove-to-hand transfer. He understands how to cut angles to create the good hop and does an excellent job of playing through the baseball. A switch-hitter, Keiser is a gap-to-gap type hitter who can spray the ball to all fields on a line.

Noah Courtney 1B / OF / Sulphur High School, LA / 2028Rankings StateRank: 49 / POS: 1
Physical 6-0, 185-pound frame. Courtney earned a starting role on the varsity for the Tors last season and is another sophomore who should see an increased role this spring. He took some of the better batting practice rounds on Sunday. A right-handed hitter, Courtney takes a direct path to contact and works inside the ball, while stays flat through extension. He drove the ball extremely well through the middle of the field with exit velocities up to 94.3 mph.

Collin Watson RHP / Jennings High School, LA / 20276-0, 170-pound athletic frame with room to still project for more strength in the future. Watson was one of the bigger surprises on Sunday, as he showed some interesting stuff on the mound. He repeats a smooth & controlled delivery with a big glove break, which allows him to hide the ball well. The Jennings product uses a long & loose arm stroke to release the ball from a high 3/4 slot. Working off the 1st base side of the rubber, he gets excellent extension down the mound (7'3" average extension), which allows his 83-86 mph to play up. He showed feel for a mid-70's slider and a 77-79 mph changeup with late fade to round out his three-pitch arsenal.
