Rising Stars on the Radar: 2028 LHP Greyson Bell (Daniel Boone Area)
October 3, 2025
The number one player in Pennsylvania and the number two overall player in the entire country. Bell is one of the more impressive players from a pure pitch-ability and pitch arsenal standpoint. At 6 ‘2 and 175-pound, this left-handed pitcher has continued to develop physically and mechanically over the last 12 months.
The lean, long levered lefty has a loose, whippy arm action that produces a fastball with some extra zip on the ball. His arm action is smooth, repeatable, and works well with his upper body maximizing whip. He has a low three-quarter to a three-quarter arm slot that produces a difficult matchup for most hitters. His fastball is consistently 87-90 mph and has topped at 90.7 mph with a spin rate up to an eye-popping 2,581 rpm. Bell throws a curveball that is 76-78 mph that is also spun north of 2,500 rpm and a changeup at 81 mph. Bell displayed this impressive arsenal with a dominant performance of whiffs and weak contact during his outing at the Pennsylvania State Games this summer. Bell has the perfect mixture of projectability and pitch-ability.
Overall, Bell is mechanically polished and mature for his age. He moves on the mound with a certain poise and fluidity that is easy to repeat and it creates consistent results. As he continues to physically develop, he will keep separating himself from the pack. Bell will be a household name very shortly.
