From proven middle-of-the-order bats to versatile defenders with upside, these prospects have shown they can impact the game now while leaving room for even more development at the next level.

Liam Smithberg 1B / OF / Creighton Preparatory School, NE / 2026

Strong 6’2”, 186-pound build with advanced bat-to-ball skills. Exit velocities have topped 100 mph at multiple 2025 events, peaking at 101.3. Hit .411 last spring for Creighton Prep with 10 extra-base hits. Event average launch angle of 14.9 degrees suggests untapped power potential that could be unlocked with swing path adjustments.

Noah Carroll RHP / 1B / Millard South, NE / 2026

A two-way talent also featured among the best uncommitted RHPs. Projects as a 1B at the next level. Hit .333 last spring for the Patriots while anchoring the middle of the order. At the 2025 PSAS, posted a 98.7 max exit velocity and a 42.9% hard-hit rate. With a current 8.7-degree launch angle, there’s considerable room to unlock more power as he lifts the ball more consistently.
