Nebraska’s 2026 uncommitted left-handed arms are among the most intriguing in the Midwest. These prospects blend projectable frame, ride and spin, deceptive arm angles, and growing command, making them must-follow names for college staffs and scouts. Though still unsigned, each has flashes of upside—from clean out-of-the-hand fastballs and swing-and-miss breaking stuff, to promising two-way skills—that suggest they could emerge as high-impact lefties at the next level.

Jackson Smith OF / LHP / Millard North High School, NE / 2026

Showed late pop on the mound this fall, running his fastball into the upper 80s and touching 91. Limited to just 2 IP last spring, he struck out three while walking one. Still a bit of a mystery, but no doubt an arm to know out of Millard North. His 6.88 60, 90 mph OF velo, and left-handed juice at the plate give him legitimate two-way upside and make him a name everyone in the Midwest should know in the 2026 class.
