September 15, 2025
With the release of the latest update to our state rankings for the 2027 class, it’s a great time to take a closer look at some of the top uncommitted prospects in the class. Only a few months have passed since recruiting restrictions were lifted on the 2027s as they began their junior years, so there are numerous big names left on the board. Over the next few days, our staff will highlight five of the top prospects at each position, with a short breakdown of each athlete. First, we'll look at the state's top five uncommitted arms in the class.

Cooper Vais RHP / SS / Arvada West, CO / 2027Vais is a legitimate two-way prospect at the next level, with great numbers both at the plate and on the mound, but for now we'll focus on his pitching prowess. The right-hander features a four-pitch mix, headlined by a pair of breaking pitches in his curveball and slider which grade out as some of the best in his class nationwide. |

Michael (Mikey) Kroll RHP / 1B / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2027Kroll is a flamethrower, utilizing a great frame to run his fastball up to 92 mph. He rounds out a three-pitch arsenal with a changeup and curveball, both of which sit in the upper 70s. |

Dylan Langstaff LHP / 1B / Douglas County, CO / 2027Langstaff is the first lefty on the list and tops the state rankings at the position. Langstaff's ceiling is high as he continues to fill out a long frame, but presently the tools are all there. The fastball is up to 87 mph with some arm side movement, and his curve and slider both grade out well with high spin and sharp movement. |

Ryan Neumann RHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2027Neumann is another great athlete on the mound with an exciting ceiling to go along with nice present numbers. We've seen him run the fastball up to 92 mph, and he has shown a nice feel for all three of his offspeed offerings. |

Isaac Lockwood RHP / Mead, CO / 2027Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 4
Another Future Games alum to make the list, Lockwood grades out well with each of his four pitches. The fastball tops out at 90 mph, and he kills spin well on a hard changeup, while tossing a pair of high spin breaking pitches as well. |
