CLINTON, MS — The Mississippi Fall ID was held on Saturday, September 13th at Clinton High School that featured top talent from the 2026-2029 classes. Players went through a pro-style workout with TrackMan and VALD Performance tech, while pitchers threw in a bullpen setting and were able to get data and metrics on our TrackMan unit.

Some prospects built on past showings, while others made strong first impressions.

We continue our post-event coverage with a look at the statistical leaderboards from the event, with more breakdowns and full scouting reports coming soon.

QUICK HITS 📝

Rhett Taylor LHP / OF / Madison-Ridgeland Academy, MS / 2027

Lean, athletic frame with room for added strength. Displays a loose, whippy arm action that creates some deception and generates natural life on the fastball, which topped out at 87 mph. Fastball shows late movement and could tick up with continued physical development. Shows a developing changeup with promising arm-side fade, thrown with good arm speed to mirror his fastball. Has a good feel for spinning the breaking ball, which flashes depth and bite. Continues to refine command across the arsenal. Overall, a projectable arm with solid pitchability and upside.

Luke Wallace RHP / OF / George County, MS / 2028

Stocky, strong-framed right-hander with a sturdy lower half that he utilizes well in his delivery. Shows a repeatable motion with solid direction to the plate. Fastball features natural arm-side run, topping out at 84 mph, with room to add velocity as he continues to mature physically and refine mechanics. Secondary offerings are still developing, but he flashes the potential for a serviceable offspeed mix. Offensively, Wallace has some pop at the plate. Displays a line-drive approach with consistent contact to the middle and pull side. Compact swing with some present strength; could project for gap power as he continues to grow into his frame. Two-way potential at the high school level with upside on the mound. A name to follow as he sharpens his secondary pitches and gains consistency at the plate.

Nelson Irving 2B / SS / Germantown, MS / 2028

Irving is a promising dual-threat prospect who showed well at the event. He features a projectable frame with room to grow and add strength. At the plate, Irving put together a solid batting practice round, consistently barreling line drives with an all-fields approach that suggests a mature feel for hitting. On the mound, he topped out at 82 mph, showing clean mechanics and the potential for more velocity as he physically develops. What stood out most was his advanced feel for his secondary pitches, displaying confidence and command beyond his years. Irving is definitely one to follow in the 2028 class, with two-way upside and a high ceiling as he continues to develop.

Parks Brock 1B / LHP / Forrest County, MS / 2027

Lean and projectable frame with room to add strength. Right-handed hitter who flashes present bat speed and exit velocity up to 95 mph. Shows a pull-side approach with emerging power potential and the ability to impact the baseball. Runs a 6.97 60-yard dash, showing solid athleticism for a corner infielder. Multi-sport athlete who serves as the starting quarterback for Forrest County’s football team, which speaks to his leadership and overall athletic profile. Strong follow in the 2027 class who also has budding possibilities on the mound as a quality left handed arm as well.

Kash Willock OF / RHP / Ridgeland, TX / 2027

Willock boasts a strong, projectable 6-2 frame at 200 pounds, with room for continued physical development. He already shows mature strength and a foundation for future power as he continues to fill out. Willock generates a 95 mph exit velocity, flashing impact potential off the bat. His offensive game is built around line drives with a middle-to-pull side approach. He exhibits occasional loft in his swing with budding power, suggesting more home run potential is on the horizon as he adds strength and refines his mechanics. Clocking a 7.07 in the 60-yard dash, Willock is a decent runner for his size, offering solid athleticism that translates well in-game, particularly for a corner outfield profile. In the outfield, he delivers accurate throws at 81 mph, showing clean mechanics and solid fundamentals. His arm is playable now, with potential for more carry as he continues to develop physically. As his body continues to mature, expect more impact at the plate and improved arm strength, making him a potential contributor at the next level.

Walker Bradford SS / RHP / Central Hinds Academy, MS / 2028

Bradford is a wiry, projectable prospect in the 2028 class with a developing frame and a solid foundation of baseball fundamentals. He shows strong baseball instincts and flashes of advanced ability both at the plate and on the mound. Offensively, Bradford turned in a very solid batting practice round, consistently barreling up line drives to mostly the pull side. His swing is compact and repeatable, with an 85 mph exit velocity that suggests more power to come as he fills out. On the mound, Bradford is an intriguing arm with a loose, clean arm action and easy mechanics. He’s been up to 80 mph with the fastball, showing signs of more velocity as he continues to physically mature. He projects well with continued development and strength gains. With his frame, loose actions, and solid all-around skill set, he's a name to watch in the 2028 class as he continues to grow and refine his tools.

Kolton Beard 3B / RHP / Harrison Central, MS / 2028

Projectable right-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic frame. Touched 84 mph on the mound with natural arm-side run on the fastball. Shows a quick arm and repeatable delivery, indicating room for continued velocity gains as he matures. Secondary offerings are developing, but show promise with improved feel and command. High ceiling with physical tools and mechanics that project well at the next level. A must follow for the 2028 class.
