Rising Stars On The Radar: 2028 SS/3B Jackson Soos (Wall)
September 12, 2025
Soos was a standout player at this year’s East Coast Super Sophomore Games at University of North Carolina. Muscular build with present lower half strength at 6 ‘1 and 187-pounds. The middle infielder provides an offensive spark with his ability to drive the baseball with authority. Defensively, his high-level arm strength and quick, fluid footwork allows him to provide defensive versatility.
At the plate, Soos hits from a tall stance with an open setup and strides with a moderate leg kick and lands even at foot strike. After landing into a strong hitting position, he turns the barrel and provides a quick bat and hand speed with his loose wrists. The loose wrists accelerate the bat through the zone and allow the point of contact to be at his peak bat speed producing exit velocities up to 97.4 mph. Soos’s barrel awareness and slight upward bat path produces an average exit velocity of 92.6 mph with max distances of 365 feet.
In the field, he provides immense defensive versatility by being able to play all four infield positions. His 88-mph arm strength can cover the hot-corner and shortstop and his quick, fluid footwork can patrol second base.
Overall, Soos is trending in the direction of one of the Garden State’s top infield prospects with the bat and his glove. A premium frame at shortstop with present strength, he is a can’t miss prospect.
