The latest update to New Jersey’s Prep Baseball Class of 2027 rankings has arrived, and it’s already reshaping the conversation around the state’s rising stars. With over 1,000 players evaluated across the Garden State, the summer rankings spotlight a thrilling mix of new faces, high risers, and top-end talent who continue to dominate the diamond. Let’s peel back the layers and see who’s rising, who’s debuting, and who’s dominating.

Jamari Whitley RHP / 3B / Schalick, NJ / 2027

A new entry into the rankings finds himself at 19th overall after a very impressive summer circuit. Between dominating in Prep Baseball tournaments and dealing at the Future Games in Lakepoint, Whitley has made a name for himself. A wiry, athletic 5 ‘10 and 165-pounds, he produces so much power and torque within his frame. A fastball up to 90 mph and a curveball that he spins up to 2678 rpm, Whitley’s arsenal has the potential to be one of the best in the state.

Connor McNally 3B / OF / Ramsey, NJ / 2027

Another new face in the updated ranking, McNally finds himself at 41st overall and the number 1 third baseman in the state. At 6b’1 and 200-pounds, the prominent component to his game is strength and power, hitting baseballs up to 99 mph and throwing baseballs 90 mph across the infield. After hitting five home runs this past high school season, McNally has put his name in the conversation for one of the state’s premiere power bats.

Jack Nicholls RHP / 3B / Haddon Heights, NJ / 2027

Nicholls landed at 14th overall after not being ranked previously. The wiry right hander has an arsenal with the potential to be high-level stuff. His fastball holds plane at the top of the zone and induces swings and misses at 88-90 and topping at 91.4 mph. His cutter had devastating movement and command during his outing at the Future Games which allowed him to go 1-2-3. Keep an eye out for Nicholls.

Dan Keenan SS / 3B / Haddonfield Memorial, NJ / 2027

A key contributor to one of South Jersey’s toughest and grittiest teams to play. Previously unranked, Keenan finds himself at 29th overall. The best way to describe his play style is as a “Gamer”, he competes and finds ways to make the necessary plays. The 6 ‘1 and 200-pound shortstop has made a name for himself the way he is able to always make the clutch play.

Alex Odud C / SS / Cherokee, NJ / 2027

The recent Arkansas commit is one of New Jersey's premiere catching prospects. Landing at 7th overall, Odud is the number 1 catching prospect. The left-handed hitting catcher has the ability to spray the ball all across the field and the ability to launch baseball beyond the fence. Defensively, he has soft, quiet hands and a smooth operation when gunning down base runners. Odud is a fun prospect to watch.
