With the release of the latest update to our state rankings for the 2026 class, it’s a great time to take a closer look at some of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the class. With plenty of talented players still available, our staff will dive in and highlight the top five uncommitted prospects from each position group. This time, we'll take a look at the five top ranked uncommitted catchers, with a short breakdown of each prospect.

Reid Smith C / 3B / Piedmont, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 35 / POS: 2
Smith is an athletic prospect who did a great job last spring navigating a large role at the plate as a consitent presence in the heart of the Piedmont lineup, while doing a nice job helping manage what was one of the better pitching staffs in the state. |

Judson Gilliland C / OF / Mustang, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 46 / POS: 3
Gilliland is one of the best athletes in the state, regardless of position, and has put up some very impressive numbers, clocking a 1.80 pop time while putting down exit velocities as high as 101.5 mph. He will look to add some thump in the heart of the Mustang lineup this spring after making the move from Bethany this offseason. |

Jaxon McArthur C / 3B / Elk City, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 47 / POS: 4
McArthur was one of our biggest risers in the latest update to our 2026 rankings. The Elk City product has continued to showcase advanced feel behind the dish, while seeing a jump in numbers at the plate thanks to both some added strength as well as a more polished swing. |

Kolby Grinsteiner C / OF / Edmond North, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 68 / POS: 6
Grinsteiner stepped in nicely in his first year as the everyday catcher for an Edmond North squad who made a run to the state tournament last spring. He showed some nice work defensively, in our looks at him last year, and has put down pop times as low as 1.90. |

Jarret Isennock C / 1B / Piedmont, OK / 2026Rankings StateRank: 91 / POS: 11
The second Piedmont product to make the cut, Isennock has spent the majority of time at first base to this point for the Wildcats. Regardless, the rising senior has the tools to make it as a backstop at the next level, putting down pop times as low as 1.90 while showing of some present power in BP, with exit velocities in the mid 90s. |
