Shows fast hands through the zone with present feel for the barrel and excellent use of the whole field. As well as generating strength from the ground-up with a stout lower half. Reid Davis, C, Newnan
Fresh off a 5A State Championship title with Newnan, Davis is coming off a breakout junior campaign and carried it over into the weekend. Athletic, broad-shouldered 5-foot-10, 170-pounds, Davis put together a mature round of BP with consistent barrels and sprayed the ball to both gaps. Stays compact in a quick trigger with great balance and present feel for the barrel. Finished with a Max EV (93.0) and an average EV (87.3) as well as running a 7.16 60. The actions behind the plate stand out as well with plenty of athleticism in the crouch, good footwork, smooth transfers and present arm strength to match. Alex Freeman, C/3B, White County
Freeman looked the part across the entirety of the event. Standing a physical 6-foot-2, 197-pounds, Freeman stays well-connected and exudes excellent body control to deliver a heavy barrel through the zone. Great use of his lower half is present with fast hands and good feel for the barrel. Finished with a Max EV (89.6) and a Max Distance (335ft.) in BP. Freeman came through with a pair of hard-hit knocks in gameplay to LCF and RCF as the ability to hit the ball to all-fields really stood out. Positional flexibility across the diamond as well and posted a C Velo 74 MPH with a pop time at 1.98.

Raymond Byrd, C, Houston County
Byrd consistently looks the part each time we see him. As more of the same continued at Senior Games. The athletic 5-foot-9 RHH consistently found the barrel throughout BP and sprayed both gaps with ease. As he transfers weight well through impact with loose wrists and the ability to move the barrel around the zone. Byrd picked up a knock in his first at-bat in gameplay with a hard-hit single back up-the-middle. The present athleticism always stands out behind the plate for Byrd. Finished with a C Velo 77 MPH (2nd in event) and a 1.95 pop. Byrd carries tools that will translate to the collegiate level immediately and is poised to have a major role in his senior season with the bears.

Matthew Lucas, C, Homeschool
Lucas made arguably one of the loudest overall impacts among the C in attendance this past weekend. Stout, physical 5-foot-10, 203-pound frame with strength in the wrists and lower half alike. Flashes impressive bat speed (Max 79.0) in a linear bat path with present feel for the barrel. Drove balls on a line in a pull-side heavy approach with real impact showing with a max exit velocity of 102.9. The profile behind the plate showed well for Lucas putting down the 2nd-best pop time of the day at 1.89 with consistent accuracy to the bag. It’s an easy-to-see high floor for Lucas with a ton of qualities to contribute while sticking behind the dish.

Hudson Kinman, C, Sonoraville
The Sonoraville backstop just continues to stack good performance after good performance when we see him and the recent Concord University commit kept that rolling at Georgia Senior Games. Decent athleticism with strength to match in the 6-foot-1, 183-pound frame for Kinman who has really started to tap into his above-average raw pop more in every look. Hands explode through the zone with significant bat speed (Max 80.6) in a well-leveraged path that creates pull-side carry with minimal effort. Max EV 98.4 The defensive profile for Kinman is buttoned up with good flexibility in the crouch with present arm strength and consistent sub-2.00 pops. The tools and makeup will give Kinman a real chance to play as a freshman and that’s a massive bonus in today’s landscape.

Jordan Stokes, C, McEachern
Stokes could very well be one of most slept-on catchers in the class and continues to show his high-level defensive polish in every setting. Extremely young for the class with present athleticism at 6-foot-0, 181-pounds, Stokes boasts great blocking and receiving due to excellent flexibility and soft hands. Accuracy to the bag always stands out and came through with the best pop-time of the weekend at 1.85. With the bat, Stokes demonstrates good bat-to-ball skills in a gap-to-gap approach with some improving impact in the barrel as he raised his max EV by over 6 MPH since January (86.0 to 93.4). Stokes has spent the past two springs handling mid-90s while looking the part as an above-average or better defender, and when the\at commitment lands, will force himself on the field early. Book it.

Patrick has looked the part over the summer and showcased loud tools in each setting we have seen him in. He posted his best pop time at 1.99 and had a strong round of BP with a max distance of 334ft and max EV of 95.3. He carried that into game play with a big double to right center field that hit off the wall.

Casey O'Brien, C, North Paulding
O'Brien had one of his strongest round of BP we have seen from him over the last year. He sprayed balls to all parts of the field with ease. He had a max EV of 97.8 and carried that right into game play with 2 really good barrels. O'Brien is a vocal leader and workhouse behind the dish. He can be a valuble asset to any team at the next level with his intagibles at one of the most important positions on the field.
