Summer Update Missouri Uncommitted Spotlight: 2026 Pitchers

With the release of the latest update to our state rankings for the 2026 class, it’s a great time to take a closer look at some of the top remaining uncommitted prospects in the class. With plenty of talented players still available, our staff will dive in and highlight the top five uncommitted prospects from each position group. We’ll kick this series off by taking a look at the five top ranked uncommitted arms, with a short breakdown of each prospect.

CJ Lake RHP / 1B / Oakville, MO / 2026Lake has legitimate two-way potential at the next level, but is perhaps most intriguing as a pitching prospect. The right-hander has one of the better fastballs in the state, running it up to 94.4 mph when we saw him in February. His best offspeed offering is a sharp slider, but Lake also features a solid third pitch with his changeup. |

Cameron Taylor RHP / 3B / Kearney, MO / 2026Taylor is a very intriguing arm, thanks in large part to an excellent fastball that we've seen top out at 97 mph, while comfortably sitting in 92-95 mph range. His pitch arsenal also features a high-spin slider with true swing and miss potential. |

Grayden Seuferling RHP / OF / Blue Springs South, MO / 2026Rankings StateRank: 8 / POS: 7
Seuferling showed off plenty of arm talent this summer at the Senior Future Games, running his high-spin fastball (2400+) up to 94.1 mph. He rounds out a three-pitch mix with a slider and a changeup. |

Kaelan Bedford RHP / 3B / Excelsior Springs, MO / 2026Rankings StateRank: 41 / POS: 17
Bedford is a high-upside prospect, that could reach another level with some added strength and has the frame to carry it. For now, the right-hander gets good arm-side movement on an upper 80s fastball, and complements it with a pair of breaking pitches that he spins at over 2900 rpm, as well as a solid changeup. |

Casen Willenborg RHP / 1B / Staley, MO / 2026Rankings StateRank: 54 / POS: 22
Willenborg is a Futures Games alum with a great physical frame, standing at 6'3 232 lbs. The fastball sits in the upper 80s, topping out at 89 mph. He pitches off of the heater with a changeup, curveball and slider to round out a four-pitch mix. |
