On Saturday, August 2nd, the PB Texas staff traveled to McLennan CC in Waco, TX to host the Central Texas Uncommitted Games, an event for uncommitted 2026 & 2027 prospects.

Over 40 Players made their way to MCC and participated in a pro-style workout followed by gameplay, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every infielder in attendance as well as rank the top 4 from the event.

TOP INFIELDERS

1. Xander Thacker, Boswell (TX), 2026
Positional Profile: SS/3B RHH/INF with build/frame to add strength. Avg runner, moves well. Actions on defense present, can play all infield positions. Solid bat/power combo in future with adjustments. Athlete, tools, upside. Watch progress. RHP with build/frame to add good strength in future. Athleticism present. FB up to 87, will add velo in future, around zone. Shows ability to create solid spin to both CB and SL. Upside present. Will continue to improve pitch ability and velocity.
Body: 5-10, 179.9 pounds. Good build/frame. Avg width to shoulders and back. Solid lower half. Showing some strength to both halves. Will add strength with growth and maturity. Good physical projections.
Hit: RHH. Rotational back foot showing linear movement. Lower 1/2 works well. Body leans back at contact working against lower 1/2, develop more upright posture at contact to allow lower to work. Stride foot rolls onto side of foot and falls back into heel, stay into ground of stride to allow lower to fully work. Bat speed present. Barrel/hands in good launch position. Some length to swing, hands cast out some creating length to swing. Develop ability to take hands on direct path to hit zone. 73.9 mph bat speed with 12g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 100 mph max exit velocity (94 avg.); 388-foot max batted distance. Solid bat/power combo in future. Adjustments to hit approach and swing will firm contact consistency and ability to impact baseball. Solid base to work from.
Arm: RH. INF - 89 mph. Abv avg raw HS arm strength now. Carry to throws present, throws from all angles. Continue to develop raw arm strength with long toss program.
Defense: Actions present. Feet work getting to baseball, does good job of playing thru baseball. Good on backhand. Shows feel for hops and getting into position to make play. Body control and agility present.
Athletic Testing: 7.03 runner in the 60-yard dash; Good runner. Creates above avg speed. Upright runner, work to create a slight forward tilt with head.
